Temptation Is Silent

Thought!

Many times temptation seems to be to an innocent thought or imagination; something that fascinates us. Something that cannot do any harm because it is always behind the scene, in our mind. When the sensual beast strikes we find ourselves swept off our feet, not being able to control our actions, because we entertained it for a long period of time. Now it is ready for foreplay. That innocent thought has grown into a roaring beast.

I Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

James 1:12-15

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempted he any man:

** In order to resist temptation we must be able to cast down all false imaginations, by telling God to:
1.  Take our heart and mold it.
2.  Take our mind and transform it.
3.  Take our will and form it to His.

*** Our adversary, Satan, is going to and fro seeking whom he may devour with temptations. He comes  through our senses: seeing, tasting, smelling, hearing and sometimes our feelings. We know that everything that seems to be good is not always good for us.

The bible says, "Jesus was tempted in every way possible to man, but he never sinned, gave into the temptation."

Let's continue to ask God to make a way for us to escape temptation.

Until we meet again - soon.
