Standing In A Dark Shadow Or Living In A Secret Storm

(Dialogue Thought: TV Episodes)

Should Gods children hide in a dark shadow - when they are in a secret storm.

Sometimes life seem so dark and gloomy. It seems as though we can't find our way. Sometimes we feel like giving up, and saying whatever will be, will be. We search and search until we see the breach of day.

In our journey for Christ things are not going to be as easy as they appear. We are not running this race for out or nought, but to win a crown. We are in boot camp. We are being prepared for the rest of our lives. Roads that we should have taken on our journey we did not. We took detours to make our travel shorter and easier, just to find out the detour led to a dead end.  Because God is a God of second chances He allows us to start our journey over and over again.

Many times when we live in a secret storm no one knows about it. We feel all alone and in despair. As the song says, Nobody knows the trouble I see, nobody knows my sorrows."  Lets think again.  God always know the trouble we are facing and what we are going through. He knows our thoughts afar off, before we think them. He can stop the storm from raging in our lives at any time. All He has to say is, "Peace be still", as He did when the winds were raging, rocking the ship. His disciples came to the bottom of the ship, thinking He was asleep, asking, "Master do you care if we perish.

Joshua 1:7b,9 God says,

Turn not from it -the law of God- to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid neither be thou dismayed: for the lord thy God is with thee whitersoever thou goest.

As we continue our journey for Christ we are going to have some good days and some bad days, but we should not complain.  We must walk a strait and narrow road that leads to eternal life.Things that Satan mean for bad God will work them out for our good.

Remember all things does work together for the good of them that love the Lord, and those who are called according to His purpose. Even though it seems as if the shadow has darkened, the storm has rised and the wind is blowing, God said He will be with you. This is what He said, and that is His promise to all of us. He has called us out of all the darkness into His marvelous light, because He is the light of the world.

Lets continue to let our light shine so men can see our good work and glorify God in heaven.

Until we meet again - soon.

The Other Man

(From the Minister's Heart)

Relationships come and relationships go but a true friend will be there through, as we say thick and thin, until the end. Relationships are a big part of our live. If it were not so God would not have said, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it.  Thou shalt love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets, according to Matthew 22:37-40.

A friend is one who has a personal relationship with us. One who has unconditional love for us. A friend can be closer than a brother; but to have a friend we must first show ourselves friendly.

Many times people come into our lives not to stay but to help us, or maybe for us to help them. Whatever the reason is, we must value that person until our season with them has ended.  The book of Ecclesiastes says, "There is a time and a season for everything under the sun.

John 15:13-14

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Ye are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.

Our relationships should be based on God's relationship with us through the death, burial and resurrection of his son, Jesus.  Jesus, the other man, who died on the cross because He loved us so.  He called us no more servants but His friends.

If we don't have many friends we can ask God, through Jesus Christ, to add friends to our lives.

Lets remember our greatest friend is Jesus, the man, who paid the price and laid down His life for ours.

Until we meet again - soon.

Wise Leaders To Follow

Judges 7:2-4

And the Lord said unto Gideon,
The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.

When the Israelites turned back to idol worship God allowed them to be subject to the Midianites notorious treatment. The children of Israel cried to the Lord and He heard them.

God allowed Gideon and the Israelites warriors of three hundred men to win the battle over the Midianites.
Gideon wanted sufficient manpower of about thirty-two thousand men of war. God narrowed it down to three hundred men because He did not want the Israelites to boast and say, "The glory of the victory belonged to them instead of to God.

***When we go through trials and testes in life, God should always be given the glory of the victory from the beginning, because the battle was not our's it belonged to the Lord. We were in the battle but He took us through it.

We must learn to stand back and see the salvation of the Lord. Stand still and see His wonderful works.
Whatever situations occur in our life, we must allows remember God knows the outcome; because He is the author and finisher of our faith; and He has already prepared the victory for us.

In choosing a leader lets continue to choose a wise and God given one to follow.

Thinking With Faith Or By Reasoning

(Dialogue Thought)

When God tells us something, or impart something into our spirit, do we think with faith, or do we rationalize and analyze His answer?

Many times when God gives up an answer to a concern we put His answer to work by trying to analyze it.  If God wanted us to analyze everything He would not have told us to Have Faith In God. The scripture tells us that faith pleases God.

By nature, our human mind tells us to think things over, but the spirit tells us to have the faith as of a mustard seed and nothing will be impossible for us.

Job 15:3-4

Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.

***When we try to reason what God has said to us we hinder and lessen our meditation and prayer before God. Our thoughts can condemn us if we do not have the faith we should in Him.

Many times we try to think logically, reasoning answers, things and situations out with thoughts of  self interest.Trying to reason out every answer God gives us can cause a conflict with Him, because His answers and actions don't always appear reasonable from a human point of view.

Knowledge and understanding is not available through human intelligence and reasoning; it come through divine revelation. Those who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit have the mind of Christ, and have access to the things freely given to them by God, according to 1 Corinthians 2:7-16

Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts  neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

OUR FAITH SHOULD NOT STAND IN THE WISDOM OR REASONING OF MEN, BUT IN THE POWER OF GOD.

Lets not try to figure it out because God has already work it out through His word.

GOD IS A POWERFUL LOCOMOTIVE

ISAIAH 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

We know that from the beginning, Jesus' birth and then His ministry, the government was going to be against Him because it was prophesied in the book of Isaiah.

Many of  us look more to the government than we do to the Lord to supply our needs. The government is  not our source, the Lord is. The government is the means by which God allows our needs to be meet.

PHILIPPIANS 4:19-20

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Now unto God and our Father be glory for every and ever. A'-men.

While the government is making agendas, scheduling meetings and opposing others in the council, the Lord already has our needs in His hands and our desires under control.  He tells us He will supply our needs if we just ask in faith, in the name of Jesus. The bigger request is that we keep his commandments, His word.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD. THINGS THAT ARE IMPOSSIBLE WITH MAN IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD, according to scriptures.

Our eyes have not seen, nor ears heard, nor entered into the heart of man what God has in store for those of us who love him - and keep his commandment.

The government should be of the people, for the people and by the people. It is more amazing that God is:
PART OF US, FOR US, IS STILL DWELLING HERE TO HELP US, AND WILL SHOW UP IN THROUGH US.

GOD IS MORE POWERFUL THAN A LOCOMOTIVE: He does not slummer nor sleep, He is at the right hand of our father speaking on our behalf; He is still preparing a mansion for us to rest from this world of sinfulness, and when we need him as an advocate He is always here.

HE IS SELF  PROPELLED, strong and mighty, always pulling or carrying a load, as the government, on His shoulders for us.

HE IS ALSO OUR CONDUCTOR, the Holy Spirit, He leads, guides, manages and directs our life, because He is in charge.

Lets allow God to be that Powerful Locomotive in our life.

Until we meet again - soon.

Help From A Deliverer

Judges 3:15

But when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded:

***Many times when we face life's challenges and the concerns of this world that will not let us go, God always has a solution to restore us back to our former position.  There may not be a close friend or relative by our side that has seen us  through all situations that we have encountered; but God already knew what concerns we were going to face before we were born.  At the time of our crisis, if we would pray a sincere prayer for deliverance, we will find out that God already had the problem under control by sending someone to our rescue.

Psalm 34:17-20

The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the lord delivereth him out of them all.
He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

***Whatever challenges  we face today remember, Nothing is too hard for the Lord. All we  have to do is keep the faith, hold onto His unchanging hand, stand back and see the salvation of the Lord, and stand still and consider the wonderful works of God, according to Job 37:14.

Everything and situation in life is not as simple as we would like it to be. God knows this that is what He has Guardian angels in all forms and phases of life to watch over us day and night. He also lets His Holy Spirit lead and guide us into all righteousness. He instills His anointing in us to destroy all worldly yokes that weights us down from day to day.

Let the Lord deliver you out of any situation that you are in by praying to Him on a regular basis. He is a pleasant help in time of trouble.

It's A Baby Girl

On July 15 some years ago before God formed me in the belly He knew me; and before I camest forth out of the womb He sanctified me, and He ordained me to be a minister unto the nations, Jeremiah 1:5 paraphrased.

Unto my parents a child was born, unto them a daughter was given: and ministry shall be upon her shoulder: and her name shall be called Betty, Minister, Author, Blogger and Community Leader, Isaiah 9:6 used.

Thank  you Lord for life. I have it more abundantly now; my latter years are wiser than my first.  Every time I turned around you keep on blessing me over and over again.

Life is precious, use it wisely.

The Rough Side Of The Mountain

(From The Minister's Heart)

Sometimes reaching the destination that God has set before us is not as easy as we thought it would be.
Starting from ground 0 and climbing to the top of the mountain, we will endure some trials and tribulations,  some heart aches and pain, doubtfulness and fear.

We must know that when God send us He has already made and prepared the way for us to walk in. Some things we endure only takes mind over the matter, while other things will impede our judgement and delay our walk with Him.

Getting to the top takes determination, perseverance, courage, patience, struggles and a lot of faith. Life for some is harder than for others. From ground 0 to the top of the mountain may seem to be a long, hard and treacherous journey, but it take faith and hard work.

Whatever we endure, nothing is too hard for God. Trials and tribulations come our way to make us stronger.  To endure we must have love, joy, meekness, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, temperance; against such there is no law.

Hebrew 10:35, 36

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Let us continue to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might - until we meet our destination.

Until we meet again - soon.

Help With Choosing The Right God

Judges 2:11, 13, 14

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim:

And they forsook the Lord, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so they  could not any longer stand before their enemies.

*** After Joshua's death, there were a new generation of the children of Israel,  who turned their back on God and started serving other gods, and bowed unto them. This made God very angry because He said, " Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:  for I am a jealous God.  Thou shall have no other gods before me, according to the Ten Commandments.

It is very, very important that we teach our children the significance of serving God. Telling them about the many blessings He has bestowed upon us. This is training them in the way they should go in the Lord, and when they get older they will not depart from it, according to Proverb 22:6.

In this day and time there are so many things for us to worship aside from God. We must watch and pray in all things and not worship anything that is not of Him as:

Our job and finances are helpful, but giving unto the Lord is a bigger blessing.

Our home can be cozy and lovable, but we must invite God in to dwell with us.

Our vehicles are good for transportation, but we must invite God to drive.

We love our family and friends deeply and this is good, because God said, himself, that He is love.

LET US CHOOSE THIS DAY WHO WE ARE GOING TO SERVE.

Until we meet again - soon.

Soldiers In God's Army

(Dialogue thought - Independence Day)

We all have a battle to fight and a race to run but we must do it through our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ.
We know that this is not our battle it belongs to the Lord.We must stand back and see His salvation. We also know that the race is not given to the swift or the strong but the one that endures until the end.

Ephesians 6:11-12

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
(Our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  we need the shield of faith; the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

***Our freedom and liberty from this war will  come through Jesus Christ by praying in the Spirit and doing all we can to stand in the evil days.

Whom God has set free is free indeed. Lets continue to stay free in His spirit. All freedom comes with a price and Jesus paid that price over two thousand years ago on the cross.

Until we meet again - soon.

Jumping The Broom

(From the Minister's Desk)

In teaching Bible Class on Wednesday night, July 6, 2011 I involved several aspects. The lesson was based
on the biblical marriage foundation coming from Ephesians 5:21-33; because there are too many divorces in Christian marriages.

This talks about how both spouses should submit to one another; but the wife should be subject to the husband as unto the Lord because he is her head.

Husbands should love their wives as Christ loves the church and gave himself for it; and the husband should love her as he loves himself.

In return the wife should respect her husband. A husband and wife is no more twine after marriage but becomes one flesh. They also learn about each other more as they grow older together.

The aspect of Jumping The Broom was based on: Love and Happiness, depression and  divorce.

Many think because they have been having a trying time in their marriage they should get a divorce to alleviate worry and depression. God says, He hate divorce, but there is a stipulation in which we can divorce and that is infidelity.

There are three main things that cause divorces: Lack of communication, infidelity and financial problems.
Many say they have been through all three situations in their marriage and they endured long enough to find out that, if it had  not been for God they would not have held on.  They learned as they  grew older together they loved each other more and more.

Jumping The Broom was also based on the Biblical foundations in I Corinthians 7:1-40

Letting every man have his own wife and letting every woman have her own husband.  If spouses separate they should pray and fast to come back to together.  Many times when spouses separate they go their separate ways and never come back together.

When a man finds a wife he findeth a good thing and have favor with the lord.  If man do not honour his good thing-his wife- and divorces her his favor is lost, because favor was with his spouse.

Paul says, If there is an unsaved spouse is in the home and they desire to stay with the save spouse let them stay. Asking how do the save one know that they cannot save the other by the life style they live. In this, the children will learn about God.  If the unsaved spouse desire to leave let him/her do so. God desires for us to have love and peace in our marriage.

Paul also says, It is better to remain single as he, but if we marry we have not sinned. The desire of the married is to please their spouse, but the desire of the single is to please God.

Marriage is Holy and the vowels are sacred, as the marriage bed above all is undefiled.

God said, Peace I give you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Peace that pass all understanding can be kept in our marriage in the Lord.

Lets continue to stay married to our spouses as God continues to stay married to His Church.

Until we meet again - soon.

The Pain Of Defeat

Joshua 7:1

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the lord was kindled against the children of Israel.

***The Israelites had victory over the city of Jericho after God caused the wall to fall. The city and every citizen was burned as God had directed. God also directed that none of  Jericho's goods be kept by the Israelites, because of possible contamination. Everything should have been dedicated to God. This order was disobeyed by a thief, and the entire nation would suffer because of one person's sin.

***Many times when we disobey and don't follow God's guidance to the letter our entire family suffers because of our sin.  He told us in His word, "if we keep His commandments He would bless us and our children going out and coming in," on the contrary, if we do not obey Him, curses can come upon us and our children.

Joshua 7:24-25

And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.

And Joshua said, Why has thou troubled us: the Lord shall trouble the this day.  And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, and they had stoned them with stones.

***When sin enter our household everyone in the family should reconcile themselves back to the Lord; be sanctified again. Sin destroys a household first before it can start destroying our community, and then our city.

***Today we are not stoned for our sins, but because we are under God's mercy and have His grace He forgives us for our transgression against Him, because He is so faithful and just.

***The pain of defeat is bitter, and the pleasure of sin is even bitter; because some sin causes spiritual death.

"THE SWEET TASTE OF VICTORY-OR- THE AGONY OF DEFEAT"

Lets continue to be lead and directed by the Holy Spirit until we meet again soon.

Lord Do It, Do It For Us, Right Now

Dialogue - Thought

Lord we need you to do it, come in and  manifest yourself- be known to us right now.

Many people awaken this morning and found themselves still blessed. There are also those that awoke and found themselves with  the same concerns and or problems they had before.  We need to be blessed way down in our sanctified souls.

In  this day and time there are so many afflictions, testes and trials that come upon us that only you have control over. We need you to show us favor; to give us your mercy and grace right now.  Lord do it, please do it for us right now.

1. Many churches are more financially than spiritually organized.

2. Many family ties have been broken and our families are dysfunctional.

3. Marriages are and have been dissolved for minute reasons.

4. Our children are being consumed and drawn away by peers, pressure, abductors and lust of their eyes.

4b Our children are conceiving children.

5. Many are so depressed or worried for some reason or another.

6. Many are in their home, nursing home or hospital sick and or bedridden and need your help desperately.

7. Our adversary have now made us his foot stool - to carry his weight and his burdens.

8. We are in a nation of wars and rumors of wars - internal, national and international.

You ask Abraham, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"  The bible says, "Things that are impossible with man is possible with God," Genesis 18:14.

You also said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto  your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Your also told us to ask for whatever we need in the name of Jesus. We have faith in you Lord and believe you will do it now, or in your perfect timing.

We, your people, are standing on your word and praying that you will hear from heaven and continue to heal the land.

Until we meet again - soon.
