From The Minister's Heart / THE CHRISTIAN'S BATTLEFIELD

Many times we get caught up in things and situations that we have no control over. The next thing we know we are lying, cheating or ... to get our life back in order. We must realize that in order to serve God we must do it in spirit and in truth. God says, "He will not let any of these temptations come upon us that he will not make a way for us to escape.

Romans 7:14 - 21

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,)dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

For the good that I would I do not; but the evil which I would not, that I do.

Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

I find than a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

***Before we were converted, we may have been wrapped up, tied up and tangled up in sin; but God's love, mercy and grace has covered us in his blood as born again Christians.

We know every day that the flesh is warring against the spirit. The flesh is weak, but the spirit is strong.
Can we say that we can continue in sin because our flesh is weak? God forbid.

Things that we should do, we find ourselves not doing them. Things that we should not do, we find ourselves doing them, because evil is always present with us.

GOD HAS MADE A WAY FOR US TO ESCAPE SIN AND IT IS THROUGH PRAYING THAT: NONE OF THESE SINFUL THINGS MOVE US.  THAT GOD'S MERCY AND HIS GRACE TAKE CONTROL OF OUR MIND AND BODY BEFORE SIN DOES.

***OUR MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE SO LETS USE IT FOR GOD.

ALL ARE IN THE FAMILY

Church members are an extension of our family.

I Timothy 5:1-3

Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;

The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.

Honour widows that are widows indeed.

***God is the Father of the living and the dead, and because of this we are to treat younger women in church as our sisters, and the younger men as our brothers . The older men and women in our church should be treated with the same respect and dignity as our biological parents.

Widows should be taken care of by their children, grandchildren or nephews because of the care and nurture they have given them.

I Timothy 5:17,19

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witness.

***A pastor should be compensated for the work that he does in church: preaching and teaching the word of God, Pastoral care.

I f a pastor is accused of wrong doing there must be two or more witnesses to confirm this.

God wants everything in his church to be done decently and in order. To do this we must learn his ways by
seeking ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto us,
according to the bible.

Lets continue to seek God for the concerns we have in his church - until we meet again soon.

Dialogue - Speak To Us Lord

Thought: SPRING FEVER IS IN THE AIR

During the Fall -the transition from summer to winter, as I walked down a country road, the weather's temperature was very nice. I felt a fresh breeze blow through my black, curly hair.  The tree limbs were blowing back and forth as if they were praising, bowing and waiting for the entrance of Christ, as if they were crying, "Hosanna, Hosanna, meaning, save we pray; save we pray,   As the cast of clouds hovered over the sky, it reminded me of his returning in the mist of the clouds for all the saints of God.

When I reached my destination strolling down the road, I turned around and also lifted up my holy hands to give him some of the glory, honor and praise that he so much deserves. Thinking, you created and molded us, you can even make the winds to obey by saying, "Peace Be Still".

Now it is Spring time, the transition between winter and summer has taken place. We are beginning to see the grass grow greener, the flowers budding and reaching its full bloom. The same trees that had leaves turn brown and falling to the grown is giving full birth to new leaves. This lets us know that Spring fever is in the air and the trees are ready to start praising God again in a new way, in this new season.

***If nature can praise God for being alive, we can also.  If we do not give God the honor he richly deserves, the rocks will cry out in our place, saying, "Blessed Is He that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest", Matthew 21:9.

Psalm 136:1, 5-7

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

To him that by wisdom made the heavens; for his mercy endureth for ever.

To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.

To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever.

***He made the sun to rule by day, and the moon and stars to rule by night because his mercy for us endures for ever.

LET EVERY THING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD, BECAUSE THE EARTH IS THE LORD'S AND THE FULLNESS THEREOF; THE WORLD, AND THEY THAT LIVE IN IT.

Until we meet again - soon.

From The Minister's Heart

I CHOOSE TO WORSHIP HIM

I choose to worship our Lord and Saviour. To give him all the honor and glory he deserves for living, dying on the crossing, and rising again, to save our souls from the gates of hell.

Psalm 29:2

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Psalm 66:4

All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name.

John 4:23 - 24

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeeth such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 9:31

Now we know that God heareth not sinners; but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

***From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the sun God is worthy to be praised. Praise and worship is what we should do. O praise the Lord, all his nations and all his people shall worship him.

***When we were hungry he fed us; when we were naked he clothed us; when we were sick he healed us; when we were in trouble he brought us out.

***Lets not forget all the benefits the Lord has bestowed upon us: His mercy and grace to keep us from all harm and danger. This alone is enough to praise him for.

*** Lets tune out of our mind the concerns of the world; and transform our mind, soul and body to praise and worship him.

Until we meet again - soon.

Fit To Lead

In leading others to Christ, we should ask God for wisdom and knowledge to guide his people, as Solomon did in his day, when he was King. For this, his asking, God made him the wisest man during his life time.
He also gave him treasures, gold and silver.

God wish that none of his children perish, but that we may be saved and have everlasting life through his son, Jesus Christ.

I Timothy 4:10-14

For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

These things command and teach.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity,
spirit, in faith, in purity.

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy , with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

***We are going to suffer persecution when we do the work of God, our Lord and Saviour. Jesus went through all types of reproaches in doing the work of God. He was tempted in all ways but He did not sin.

*** We, as leaders, should commit ourselves to studying, preaching and teaching the word of God. The bible tells us to stir up the gift that is within us. God said, "Our gift  will make room for us." In return, lets use the gift God has blessed us with to be a blessing to others until he returns.

***We should always be apt and prepared to preach and teach the word of God when the occasion arises.
Meaning to be instant in and out of season, according to he bible.

***It does not matter what is going on with us and others, we should always preach the true word of God.
We can not affford to add or take away from his word. God said, "If we do that, He will add plagues to our life and take our name out of the Book of Life.

Maybe at first preaching was a calling on our life, later we started to want to help others. Now, I am learning how to give myself so God can use me, in spite of my circumstances.

We do want to make it to heaven. We want to make it in. We want to be free from sin. We want to hear him say, "Well done."

Until we meet again - soon.

Dialogue - Speak To Us Lord

Thought: PEACE OF MIND

Bible class teaching, I taught Wednesday night, March 16, 2011.

Everyone need peace. There is so much happening in the world today. Trouble is on every side. If I turn to the right, and if I turn to the left there is trouble. I must walk a straight path looking to the Lord.

God told Joshua not to look to the right side, or left side; walk straight and look to him. Meditate in his word day and night; and He will make his pathway prosperous, according to the bible.

Philippians 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.

Many times on our job we don't have any peace, because it is a duty; but when we walk with Christ and do his work; we should have a lot of peace. The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. How can we give  love, joy and peace to those in need if we don't have any (the fruits of the spirit).

The bible tells us to follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
It did not say follow confusion with all men.

We loose people in church sometimes when:

We try to control other adults; Being a busy body and interfering in other people business.
When we interfere in other's lives confusion occurs.

God says, "He is not the author of confusion but of peace."

When someone needs advise and counseling there is always a Pastor and sometimes a Church counselor to go to.

Isaiah 9:6

Says, His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Princeof  Peace.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither  let it be afraid.

Acts 10:36

The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all).

Lets enjoy the peace that God has left for us; that peace that passeth all understanding.

Until we meet again - soon.

From The Minister's Heart

SADNESS / BROKEN HEART, WHO CAN MEND?

Sadness enters our life in many ways, and sometimes it brings a broken heart.

It enters through life challenges: as tragedies, sickness, lost of a love one, and love itself...

Who knows the heart of man except the Lord?

I Samuel 16:7

For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearence, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Jeremiah 17:10

I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Psalm 34:17-18

The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all ther troubles.

The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

***The Lord knows when we are up, and he knows when we are down. He picks us up when we are down.  He is a pleasant help in time of need. He knows when we are having a blessed day, and when our day is not going well.

***God does not slumber or sleep; he watches over us day and night to protect us; because he hears our cry for help. If  it was not for his mercy and his grace where would we be, and what would we do? What would we do without his grace?

***Have I ever been down?   Yes, I have been down.

He will reach down to pick us up.  The only reason we should look down on a man is to pick him up.

Lets encourage ourselves in the Lord, as David did, and think ourselves happy, as Paul did.

Until we meet again - soon.

PRAY FOR A GOOD LEADER

I Timothy 3:1-2

This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

*** If a man wants to be a pastor, he has made a good choice. He must have a good report: a good behaviour; be hospitable to others; do not drink liquor; have only one wife, and be a good teacher.

I Timothy 3:4-5

One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

***His family must be obedient to him, having his children subject to him, if not, how can he be a  good ruler/overseer over the church?

Deacons must exemplify some of the same characteristics as a Pastor, in order to, hold the office of a deacon.

***God said, He will give us pastors according to his heart, which shall feed us with knowledge and understanding.

Paul is commended for being strong in the Spirit, while writing this letter under duress. He was awaiting execution. Until his death, he concentrated on helping others.

Lets continue to pray in choosing a Pastor, so that he may also help others through the church, us.

Until we meet again - soon.

Dialogue - Speak To Us Lord

Thought: Authors/ Writers Anniversary celebrated by CCWriters earlier this month.

We had an Anniversary cake to enjoy and coffee etc., if we desired. It does not seem as though a year has passed since the organization of the class, although I started a few months later.

Many times one will say, "I can't write or my thoughts will not come." This happens to me sometimes also.
A publisher sent me an email saying, "If you can not write, start reading a book etc." I find this to be true.
Reading and writing does go hand in hand in many cases.

Writings come to me after I have meditated on the word of God, looked it up, and concentrated on an interpertation from him, for Ministry blogging.

Proverbs 16:3

Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Psalm 45:1

My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the King: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

***In letting God put beautiful thoughts in our heart, they will overflow as we write. All we have to do is commit our works unto him.

Writer's Night Is Another Special Occasion To Remember.

The fellowshiping of sourrounding Community Christian authors and writers. A night to express ourselves through reading and writing. A night to shine and glow through our talent of writing, music, etc.

We learn from each other and that is what fellowshiping in the Lord is all about. When God gives us a talent we must use it to his glory.

LORD, PLEASE CONTINUE TO ORDER OUR STEPS IN YOUR WORD - TO WRITE YOUR WORDS.

Until we meet again - soon.

The Lost Of A Love One

"THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE LOST OF A LOVED ONE"

I know this was, and has been a sensitive subject and I  treated it as one. God has put it in my heart to re-visit it for the sake of my family, friends and others who loved her dearly. (from post 12-1-2010)

THOUGHT: A LOVE ONE IS ALWAYS MISSED AND KEPT IN OUR HEART.

Mother's, fathers, sisters, brothers and friends - know that everyone grieves in their own way. Many times others are crying inside.  Many times others do all they can to survive. Whatever your situation is talk to God about it. If you need a human to talk to - the bible tells us to communicate with those who teach us as: your pastor or Church counselor.

** I lost my brother in 2003 and my sister this time last year. Each death took a great toll on my life. My pastor counselled me so that I could make it through each day. The counselling last year, after my sister's death, lasted about one week. After my brother's death in 2003 it seemed as though I would not make it through it. God gave my pastor and wife wisdom and knowledge to help me through that time. You see with my brother's death the first link in the chain of siblings was broken - this is why I took it much harder.

** Christians God has established his church with others to help us. God said, "Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."  I will say it like, I with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nether let it be afraid," John 14:27.

Yes to King Jesus - He has left us peace that no one can take away. Peace that passeth all understanding - because He is the prince of peace.

LET'S CONTINUE TO REMEMBER THEM WITH THE LOVE THEY GAVE, THE PEACE THEY HAD, AND A JOY TO BE AROUND.

Until we meet again soon.

SEARCHING FOR TRUTH AND MEANING

I Timothy 2:1-3

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

***It is always a good and acceptable thing for us to intercede in prayer and thanksgiving for those who have authority over us; those who make major decisions over our life: as Pastors, the government etc.
It is very vital that God is called in through our prayers to intercede on behalf of decisions that have been made for our good.

God says, "He has plans for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future."
according to Jeremiah 29:11.

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps, according to Proverb 16:9.

I Timothy 3:16

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified inthe Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

***What we have seen and read in the bible is the godiness of God in Jesus. God became flesh through Jesus and walked among us. He was very spiritual; he preached and teached the word of God to believers and unbelievers. Jesus gave himself away so that God could use him, by his birth, death and resurrection.

WE NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE IT WITHOUT HIM.

Until we meet again - soon.

Dialogue - Speak To Us Lord

Thought: THE THRILL IS GONE - BUT SALVATION IS HERE.

A time must come when all good-earthly-things must come to an end: The love of the world and the things therein. The lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever, according to I John 2:15-17.

James 5:5

Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have norrished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

***The Bible says, "For years we have be having fun, satisying ourselves, and now we are ready for the slaughter."

Only God can save us from sin, shame and death; according to Romans 10:9,10,13

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The gift of salvation was made possible by Jesus dying on the cross for you and I. Now confessing the above statement with faith.

Salvation is free and the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

Once saved, we are always saved through Christ Jesus - until we meet again soon.

From The Minister's Heart

LOVE THE ONE YOU'RE WITH

Hebrews 13:4

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Let us honor our marriage and the vows; they are sacred, pure and dedicated to God.
The words " I do" can also mean I always have, I always will love and care for you; until death do us part...
I will never leave or forsake you; the same words Jesus tells us today.

I Corinthians 7:32-34

But I would have you without carefulness. he that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:

But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

There is defference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

The unmarried person aim is to please the Lord in every way. The married person's aim is to please their spouse. To submit to each other and do all things in harmony, in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.

God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." Man's  perfect gift is you. The good thing God made for him, and had him to find. One who will be submissive and obedient to her husband. In return, God said, "likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of  life; that your prayers be not hindered, according to I Peter 3:7.

There are so many divorces in the world each day, the number is staggering. This should not be in the church. We do have the power to take back what the devil has stolen from us through prayer. Take back the love, joy and peace you have for the one you are with, in the name of Jesus.  It is your's for the asking.

Lets continue to LOVE THE ONE WE'RE WITH, until we meet again - soon.
