The Thrill of Sweet Victory

Joshua 6:2-4

And the Lord said unto Joshua, see, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the King thereof, and the mighty men of valour.

And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about he city once. Thus  shalt thou do six days.

And the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.

Joshua and the Israelites received victory over Jericho because he followed God's direction to the T. Joshua and the Israelite army did not have to fight, or shed blood in way to win the victory.

God commanded Joshua to march  around the city once a day for six consecutive days, marching in silence.
On the seventh day he was told to march around the city seven times, and the priest will blow the trumpets after the final march; and  Joshua told the people to shout. A shout for sweet victory. The wall of the city fell down flat.

If we obey God and do exactly what He has instructed us to do, we also will have victory over the tests and trials that shows up in our life. We can not afford to take for grant what God has told us to do.  Behind every commandment there are promises and blessing to reward us for our obedience to His will and way.

Lets continue to have victory in our life when we are faced with challenges that we have no control over, by obeying God.

Until we meet again - soon.

Caught In A Trap And We Can't Get Out

(Dialogue Thought)

Sometimes it seem as though we are caught in the middle of a trap and we have struggled and struggled to get out. Always remember that God loves all his babies-children. Sometimes we say or think, "Lord don't you see what this trap is doing to me. God loves us too much to allow the trap to consume us; because we belong to Him, and because He paid too big of a price for us on the cross.

Whatever situation we are caught up in at this time, God is working it out for our good. It is making those of us who don't pray and communicate with Him as much to start prayng to Him more.  Know that "Trouble don't last always, and This too shall come to pass" in our determination through prayer.

I Corinthians 10:13

There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

***Whether the  temptation is: drawing us away by the lust of the eye, lust of the flesh or the pride or life, God says He will make a way for us to escape. Every day it is possible for us to be drawn away from God one way or another, if we do not stay in His word.  Jesus, himself, was tempted in all ways but he did not sin.

James 1:13,14,15

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempted he any man:

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Then when lust had conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

I James 1:12 says, "Blessed is the man that endureth-bear up under - temptation: for when he is tried -has been tested- he shall receive the crown of life, which the lord has promised to them that love him."

Remember, at one time or another all of us has got caught up in a trap and couldn't get out.

LETS CONTINUE TO ASK GOD FOR A WAY TO ESCAPE TEMPTATION.

Until we meet again - soon.

A GOOD FATHER

(Father's Day - From The Minister's Desk)

Not only was Father's Day something to remember. Fathers are always someone to remember.

"A father, a man, who has walked with us, talked with us, and gave us the right information to make good decisions."  This sounds a lot like our father God, but it is not. This is what our christian father does. God does much more than this for us. He also saves us from sin, from ourselves, and from seen and foreseen danger. Because He is the saviour of the world, He can fill us with His precious gift of the Holy Spirit.

I Kings 2: 1-3  David tells his son Solomon how to be a Godly man:

Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying.

I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man:

And keep the charge of the lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyeself:

***A Godly man will always be a Godly father. He will  teach and train his son in the way that he should go, so that when he get older he will not depart from it.

Our young men need to be taught and given charge by their father on  how to be  strong; the head of his household, a good husband, a good father; a good provider; and always follow God's leadership through His word.

Some say, "A good man is hard to find," others may say, "There is only a few good men"

We all know that a man is an adult male with authoritive and or Godly principles.

Lets continue to reverence our biological father as well as our heavenly father. Both of them have played an important part in our life. If it were not for them we would not be here.

Until we meet again - soon.

Know Who To Trust

Joshua 2:3-5

And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, say, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all t he country.

And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:

And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: wither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly;  for ye shall overtake them.

***In reading the verses above we find that when God has a mission for us to perform, He equips others to accept us as we are.  When He sends us out on a journey He  appoints and anoints us to go, then He prepares the way for us to travel. He leads and guides us by His Holy spirit.

If we do not look to the left side or to the right, where trouble is, in traveling down the narrow path, loosing sight of our mission, He will do just what He says.

Joshua 2:16

And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.

***God orgistration of the plan for Joshua and his men to take over Jericho was awesome.  In God's plan the two men entered a wise and cleaver women, a harlot's house. She knew the King, the mountains, her country's entrance and exits were well. It took this strong and courage women's knowledge of God to help  the men.

She said to the men, I know that the Lord hath given you the land, and the fear of you all is upon us.

" SOMETIMES GOD USES THE UNSAVED TO SAVE US, HIS CHILDREN, FROM TROUBLE."

and sometimes when THE SAVED HAS BACKSLIDEN, GOD INTERVENES AT THE RIGHT TIME, SO THAT THEY CAN HELP PROTECT US FROM ENEMIES."

We know that we can trust some people some of the time, but we can not trust all people all of the time.
Lets learn to put our trust in God, the one who lead and directs us in the way we should go.

Until we meet again - soon.

Negative Thoughts

(Dialogue Question)

Can negative thoughts be turned into positive thinking, or do we entertain those negative thoughts?

Learning to say, "thank you Lord" when negative thoughts come into our mind can be helpful. Making that statement gets us back under His grace, to be at peace with our enemy or situation, and help our mind to be renewed.

Many  times when situations and circumstances get us down we will think negative thoughts. Most of the time negative thoughts carry with it worrying which can lead to depression, especially, if something devastating has occurred. Sometimes it is hard to keep our mind on Him who can keep us in perfect peace, God.

As it is stated sometimes, "Nobody knows the trouble we see, nobody knows our sorrow."  God does, He knows our thoughts afar off;  He knows our thoughts before we think them.

Can we control our thoughts? - Thought control

Colossians 3:1,2

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Things worth thinking about

Philippians 4:8,9

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever thing are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do : and the God of peace shall be with you.

In every negative situation there is some good if we look deep enough. In every negative struggle there is positive strength.

Lets allow all our positive thoughts out weigh our negative ones.  Remember what the devil meant for bad God turned it over for our good.

Until we meet again - soon.

THE OUTER LIMITS

(From the Minister's Heart)

The Outer Limits - to go where no Christian minister has gone before and to touch down at our Twilight Zone.

I Corinthians 2:9-11

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

***There are places God want us to reach if we will only allow Him to use us in the Spiritual rims. To go to a higher height and another level in Him. To do that we must use His Spiritual Blessings.

Nine Fruits of the Spirit

Love - Joy - Peace - Longsuffering - Gentleness - Goodness - Faith - Meekness, Temperance: against such there is no law.

Nine Spiritual Gifts

Word of wisdom - Word of knowledge by the same spirit.
Faith - Gifts of healing - Working of miracles - Prophecy - Discerning of spirits - Divers kinds of tongues  Interpretation of tongues:

These spiritual gifts and fruits of the spirit are used to edify the body of Christ. When God has a  mission for us to perform, He appoints, anoints and prepares us to carry it out , as He has done with future leaders in the Church. He tells us to stir up the gift within us; and to do the work of an Evangelist. He said He would never leave or forsake us; He will be with us to perform it. This is His promise to us.

Many times we go through many testes and trials to continue the work He left behind for us to perform.  Many times we may have to walk alone. Always remember He is carrying us through as He promised.

When we have done all we can do in performing His mission He says, "Stand when everything else fail.
The battle is not ours it is the Lord's. Just keep still and see the salvation of the Lord. Know that He is God."

Lets continue to go to the Outer Limits within His spirit, and touch down within our Twilight Zone.

Until we meet again - soon.

Living By Godly Rules

In the beginning God had promised his people, starting with Abraham, the Promised Land, A Land of Milk and Honey. God charged Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt into the desert to worship Him, from there across the Red Sea with God's help. God promise to Moses was to be obedient, strong and of good courage and He will always be with Him to lead him.

After Moses' death God charged Joshua to be the new leader of the Israelites; to lead them across Jordan River into the Promised Land. The same promise He made to Moses He also made it to Joshua. Telling him to be strong and of good courage, etc. Although both leaders went through many battles and challenges to possess the lands God  was always with them to be victorious.

Joshua 1:7-9

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Joshua 1:16

And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersover thou sendest us, we will go.

Obedience to their leaders played an important part in them possessing the land victorously as God had planned. Through all their murmuring and complaining against Moses God continued to lead them as He promised.  After they endured for a while with Joshua, and continued to see God work through him they began to have more faith and be obedient.

Obedience is better than sacrafice; Lets continue to be obedient using Godly Rules.

Until we meet again - soon.

Leaders Of Today

(Dialogue Question)

Are we, Leaders of today, prepared to be good leaders, or are we lead astray ourselves?

Are we doing what the bible says do concerning our lives, or are we scarcely going to make it to heaven?

Jeremiah 1:5,9-10

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth.  And the lord said unto me, Behold I have put my words in thy mouth.

See, I have this day set thee over nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

*** God told us to occupy until He returns, because we do not know the day or hour in which the son of man shall appear.

Have we been pushed so far back in the world, and set aside in the church that we rather follow instead of lead?

***God tells us, "Only be strong and very courageous that we may observe to do according to all the law. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that we may prosper where ever we go, according to Joshua 1:7

Lets continue to meditate and stay in the word of God to be prosperous, so that we may occupy until He returns.

Until we meet again - soon.

A Sound Mind

(From The Minister's Heart)

I Timothy 1:7

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but or power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

***Paul is speaking to us today as he spoke to Timothy, his beloved son many years ago.Telling us to stir up the gift that God has given us on the inside..

When situations and events in our life do not turn out the way they should we must not be fearful or afraid of what may happen next. We should use the gift of prayer in us so that God can intervene on our behalf.

In the book of Acts it says, when the Holy Ghost come upon us we have power. Power to speak things into being; and call those things that are not as though they were."

Showing our love for one another as God shows His love for us at all times changes or takes away many confrontations that we would have dealt with, with our brethren.

***Difficult situations get us down, causes us to worry and sometimes go into a depressive mode. This should not happen in cases dealing with children of God.  When we have situations that are hard to handle, instead of looking at the situations, we will be looking toward God to handle them. When our mind is stayed on our Lord He keeps us in perfect peace. This is what causes us to have a sound mind, and within that mind- unspeakable joy and love that beareth all things.

When we can not do anything else in trouble times - we can stand on the word of God, after we have done all that we can do naturally.

Lets continue to have the mind of Christ - A sound mind stayed on the Lord.

Until we meet again - soon.

A Mission Done Well

Joshua 1:1b -3

The Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

Every place that he sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I  said unto Moses.

***After Moses' death God commanded Joshua to become the new leader and continue  to lead his people as Moses did. Joshua's mission was to lead the people across the Jordan River to the Promise Land, a land of milk and honey.

*** God's other commandment to Joshua was to strong and of good courage; to meditate in His word day and night to be prosperous; He would not fail or leave him.

*** This is the commandment and promise that God make to leaders in the Church today: to be lead by the Holy Spirit; to continually meditate in His word; and to carry out His mission. If we continue to do what God called us to do and keep His commandments He will continue to lead, be with us and keep us from all harm and danger.

*** God knows that there is a battle that has to be fault, and a victory that needs to be won. A race that has to be ran. The race is not given to the swift or strong but the one that endure to the end.

*** By obeying God, Joshua was able to take over all the land, hills and country that he walked on by winning the battle against other nations.

Joshua 11:23

So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to  their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

Lets continue to carry out God's mission by obeying and meditating in His word.

Until we meet again - soon.

First Things First

(Dialogue Question)

Do we always put First things first; do we do things decently and in order, or do we do what comes natural?

Many times we put our Job, career, education, things and  money in front of God.

Matthew 6:33,34 & Luke 12:31

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

***God will give us everything we need to live if we put Him first in our life, in front of all our needs. He owns the world and all inhabitants therein.  What father loves his children and let them suffer for things?  He promised us,  He would not hold any good thing from us.

***Don't worry about tomorrow because it is not promised to us. God is the one that holds our future in His hands. If he watches over and feeds the fowls of the air how much more will He take care of us, His children.
Think about the lilies of the field, how they grow; they don't toil or spin.

***The love of money is the root of all evil. It will lead us astray from the path of God.It leads us to many sins, according to the bible.

***The General rule Is:

God first - People second - Things last.

God first created us, His people - for His good pleasure - to enjoy things.

Lets put God first in our life, by casting our cares on Him, because He first cared for us.

Until we meet again - soon.

Holy Ghost Season Is Here

(From The Minister's Heart)

Holy Ghost Season is here again. We can feel it in our walk, we can feel it in our talk, we can feel the Holy Ghost all over us.

God is doing a new thing in this day and time to draw men and women closer to him through His word.
There are important things we must do to be led by His Holy Spirit (Ghost):Pray-much prayer, much power. Read his word daily - the engrafted word will penetrate our hearts and minds, and carry us through the day.
Meditate on his word - to get an insight, revelation and comprehend what God is saying to us.

Isaiah 43: 18,19

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

God says, "we are precious in his sight, we have honoured Him, and He love us". He is always with us.
When we go through the storm of life He is there carrying us. He will protect us as He protected and provided for the Hebrew children.  His precious gift of the Holy Spirit will lead and guide us to all truth and righteousness. It will bring back to our remembrance what Jesus has told us.

Many times God does a new thing in revealing things to us: Sometimes it is through revelation by reading His word; through prophecy, by hearing preaching and teaching in Church or on the Radio or TV, and sometimes through dreams and visions.

***The closer we get to God by communicating with Him through His word, the more we are able to give ourselves back to Him so that He can use us for His glory.

Lets be in a position so Jesus can lead us all the way from earth to glory - when the time comes.

Holy Ghost Season time is here again - so lets get in a hurry to do His will - so He can reveal Himself to us in a new way, by doing many new things in our life.

Until we meet again soon.
