In The Heat Of The Night

(From The Minister's Heart)

Many times it seem as though every day hold  many challenges and problems for us to deal with, so many that the days seems endless and the  nights seem too long and full of sadness.  We twist, we turn, we sit up, we lay back down, then we ask Jesus to help and to stand by us as we go through the day.

Sometimes our days seems as dark as our nights. There appears to be no light anywhere in sight. Our mind become so troubled and confused.  We began to use our feelings instead of our faith.  It does not matter how real the problem is, our faith in God will make the problem smaller than it appears. Using our feelings always magnify the situation to the extent that our faith in God can not prevail.

God has all hearing ears, and sees everything that happens to us. He says, "He is waiting to hear from us, to hear our every cry, and He feels our mourns for help".

Psalm 34:15, 17, 18 David said,

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

The righteous cry,and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart: and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Let's remember that In The Heat Of The Night Jesus will stand by us.

Until we meet again - soon.

Bless His Holy Name

(Sermon I brought, Sunday, February 19, 12)

Psalm 103:1, 2-13

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his Holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

David went into a deep meditation praising the Lord and thanking Him for all He had done for him.

Not forgetting the undeserved benefits he had in life. One of which was being a King.

He asked in Psalm 116:12, What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me? The
answer is we owe Him to much to fail Him now for dying on Calvary.

Having the Fruits of His Spirit shows our love towards Him: Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.

God have mercy on us because He knows sometime we are right, then sometimes we are wrong but through it all He can turn evil things around for our good.

We owe Him to much to fail Him now.  We can not afford to turn back now. because of this sometimes we may have to walk alone.

Let's continue to bless the Lord at all times.

Until we meet again - soon.

The Power Of God's Love

THOUGHT:  God Got The Power

Love is a strong attraction that we have for someone or something.

We, as humans, were created to love. The bible says, "God is love." Out of all of His creations He created us in him image because he loved us so very much. He want to walk with us; talk with us, and to give us things we never had. The greatest thing He gave us was His life for our's when He died on the cross for our sins.

When we are lonely and miss someone we love we think, "Out of sight, out of mind. Absence makes the heart grow funder." This is not true concerning God's love. His love is always with us because He said, "He will never leave or forsake us. He will be with us until the end of time." His love is also unconditional; when something disrupt our relationship with Him, He continues to love us in spite of our short comings. His love for us covers a multitude of  faults;

Many times we look for love in the wrong people, places, and things. These things will always fail us, but there is no failure in God. His love has so much power in it - it can pick us up when we are down and set our feet on solid ground.

God's Agape love is the strongest emotion He has for humans; it can not be contained or controlled.  Out of the three: faith, hope and charity (love); His love is the greatest and carries within it many benefits and blessings.

***This is what the bible says about Love:

I Corinthians 13: 4-8

Charity - God's (love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up.

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, and endureth all things.

God's love never faileth.

*** On valentine's day  remembering that we will always have someone that loves us deeply; and because of this, He gave us His greatest gift; we call him Jesus.

Lets continue to remember the true giver and the love that was given with it - until we meet again soon.

Rebuilding Our Life Is Like...

(Thought: Rebuilding)

Genesis 6:5

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Noah was a just man who walked and talked with God daily. Because of this God revealed his intention to him to destroy the world by a flood.  God told him to build an ark (big ship) in which he and his family would survive during that time.  Many times in life we have to clean up what we have messed up, and with the help of God, we can start all over again rebuilding our life one day at a time.

Some times rebuilding our life is not an easy task. First we must examine ourself and  know that God will be  with us through it all. When we think of Nehemiah, he mourned, fasted and prayed to God for many days, seeking his will to rebuild the wall in Jerusalem. We know that it took a lot of courage, ambition and determination to accomplish the task set before him.  In times when God is speaking to us to carry on His work, when no one else hears Him, we get a lot of criticism, scorning and many distractions, but we must obey, trust God and keep the faith.

In many instances life itself is a challenge and a great task to continue to hold our head up, and keep the faith in spite of the doubts of others, close friends and family members.  We must always remember if God is for us He is more than the world against us. When we have done all we can to serve our father, it is then that we can stand and receive our reward.

Let's remember that we can only rebuild a Godly life through Christ.

Until we meet again - soon.

Our Faith Is Whole

(From The Minister's Heart - taught tonight for Bible Class)

Hebrew 11:1- says,  "Our faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Telling us by having faith we have a blessed promise to look forward to, even though we don't see it naturally.

Romans 10:9 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved, by this same faith.

Romans 10:17 says, "So this faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 4:5 says, "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Ephesians 2:8 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

Matthew 17:20 says, "And Jesus said unto them, If ye have faith as a gran of mustard seed, and shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove:  and nothing shall be impossible to you." This is saying we can speak by faith to remove problems out of our way.

Matthew 9:22 & 29 Jesus says, "Daughter be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole."
"According to your faith be it unto you."

Hebrew 11:6 says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." This tells us that if we ask God before reaching out for things on our own He will bless us. Also having faith that He will is a blessing because we acknowledged Him first.

Our faith makes us whole spiritually, physically, socially, naturally and moves problems out of our way if we only believe.

Little Faith = Little Power;  Great Faith = Great Power;   Perfect Faith = Perfect/ Mature Power.

A well known TV Pastor said, "Faith was never meant to make things easy, but to make things possible."

Let's be faithful until we meet again - soon.

Something/Someone To Believe In

Galatians 2:20-21

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Now-a- days there are not many things to believe in, or many people to rely on or trust. There is a man who  stuck closer than a brother and laid down in life on Calvary for our sins.  He is one whom we can trust with our life, because He holds our future in his hand. His name is Jesus Christ.

God is one who stepped out of His glorious home, heaven, onto His foot stool, earth to serve mankind.
He looked all over for someone with a sinless body.  He could not find anyone so He said, "I'll go down."
God, the Father, Jesus, the son and the Holy Ghost came down from heaven as one, into a virgin's body and they were born as Baby Jesus.

Paul, birth name was Saul, called himself the chief of sinners. He persecuted many Christians by beating and throwing them in jail because they stood for Christ. Being changed to a christian while on Damascus road he  received God as his Lord and Saviour. He began to preach the gospel with power and authority.  Because of this he was also persecuted, beaten and thrown in prison. This is why Paul's statement is, I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

Believing in God with all our heart, mind and might, we realize that it is no longer us that endures but the Christ that is within us.

Let's continue to believe in God.

Until we meet again - soon.

EAGLES FLY HIGH

(Thought: Poem)

I am flying high like an eagle and soaring like a dove.  I see someone in my spirit is it God above?

My missions and my goals have been put to the test. I will wait on the Lord and then take a rest.

We know whatever we do for the Lord are the only things that will last. Earthly things have already perished in the past.

We must wait on the Lord and be of good courage, and He will strenghen our heart.  We should have done this thing from the very start.

In doing God's work we must mount up our wings and set a swiftly flight. Waiting and waiting will delay our mission until dawn or midnight.

In accomplishing the task set before us we may endure hardship and pain.  It does not matter now, because the love of God we will gain.

The fruits of the spirit is what we will need, because we have the joy of the Holy Ghost to succeed.

Before starting our mission as a daily routine, each day we must give praises to the Lord, until the Heavenly Host sing.
