An Entrusted Leader To Follow

Exodus15:19

For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

When goals seem too impossible to reach, and dreams seem to fade away encourage yourself and trust God to bring you through, high waters and set your feet on solid ground, as He did the Israelites when the Egyptians were behind them. Their is no doubt that God will not take care of us in our despair.

Whether it is a Professional or Lay Leader, followers should  have enough  trust in their leader to follow them. When a person is lead by God, it is not him who leads, it is the Lord who orders man's steps and guide him in the path he need to take. All leader's directions should come from God.

In order to be the best leader we can be, we should have been the best follower we could be. All great accomplishments are gained through good leadership and willing workers/followers. Our goal is to press toward the mark for greater accomplishments.

I Corinthians 10:33 Paul said,

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

In order words, Paul is saying, "Don't just follow me,  follow the Spirit of God you see within me."

Let's continue to remember, our Entrusted Leader is the Holy Spirit.

A Present Help In Trouble

(Thought: Trouble)

In today's time all we hear of is trouble, trouble and more trouble. We lay awake at  night but that's alright because Jesus will fix it after a while. As many times as we hear about trouble, we hear about God fixing  more problems. We must remember, God is a problem solver. The bigger the problem, the greater His power. He is a very present help in trouble, according Psalm 46:1

We are not in this thing alone. God won't last it last too long. With His help we can make it. Weeping may endure for the night but joy cometh in the morning.  No matter what we are going through God is going to tell us just what to do. We, we can make it.

This too, time of trouble, shall pass.  Psalm 37:39 says,
But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

Let's remember, God is the saving strength of His anointed, and we don't have anything to worry about in times of trouble.

The Power Of Prayer

(From The Minister's Heart)

The most important part our the day is prayer, communicating with our Heavenly Father, God.  We all know what prayer can do. It will carry us through, until the next day.

Our time is spent wisely when we open up our heart and talk to God: A time of Devotion, a time of Praise and, or a time of Worship.

It is good to offer up prayer  any time. Open communication with God always allow Him to instruct us each day with the right path to take. The bible tells us to be instant in prayer, to pray at all times.  A life of prayer is a life of faith and commitment to God...

James 5:16 says,

The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much; the heartfelt prayer of a righteous man has power in it. Power to make circumstances easier to go through than they normally would be.

Praise God like a butterfly.
Sing to Him like a Bee.
The Praying sound is coming from Jesus and me.

Let's continue to have that committed connection with God through the Power Of Prayer.  Prayer, like love, always start at home and spread abroad.

Forgiving Power

Genesis 50:20

As for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

When God has a plan and a purpose for our life, He knows the enemy is going to come against us in full force to destroy us so that the plan of God in our lives, to help others, will not come forth as pure gold.

Satan, our enemy, has a paticular plan of his own, and that plan includes going to and fro on the earth and destroying those that God predestined to be here and carry out  His missison. Satan sometimes enter our life as a sheep in wolves clothing. Don't be distracted by his  tactics of coming to still, kill and destroy .

Each day we must girt about ourselves with the Breast plate of salvation against the wild  influences of the devil... In today's society there are many things that come to destroy the word of God. On this journey we must learn to overcome evil with the good things of God in live.

Let's always remember that there is a lost of power in forgiveness. The only way we won't be forgiven is because we are unwilling to forgive our sisters and brothers as children of God.

Still Away Sometimes

What would I give for just a few moments?  What would I give just to have you near?

If I could just still away sometimes from a busy world without criticism from others or great fear.

The word is nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart as we see. By talking to God, saying amen, yes, let it so be.

Still away sometimes just to have silence and the word at best. Resting  in God and laying our head on his breast.

We need quit time to pray, read and meditate. When we hear the word spoken in church - this is when we can relate.

The gospel is the powerful word of God by inspired men to write. The Holy Ghost led them when there was no one in sight.

Be ready in and out of season when it is time to pray. The word deep down inside will lead us to obey.

No one knows the day or hour when the son of man will appear. Isn't it odd, it is not a human, it is God whom we fear?

Shared Blessings

Genesis 45:8

So now it was not you that sent me hither, here, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

Joseph, a dreamer and interpreter of his and others dreams, truly blessed those he came in contact with.
He went through many bad situations until he was blessed by God to be delivered out of them all:

1. Joseph brothers dropped him in a deep whole out in a field after finding them, as his father requested.
They were jealous of him because his dream call for them to worship him.

2. Because he resisted the sensual attack of Potiphar's wife and she lied on Joseph, accusing him of attacking her, he was thrown into prison.

3. He also interpreted dreams in prison but no one seemed to remember this when Joseph's dreams came  true.

Joseph's Gifts make room for him - Genesis 41:37-40

Joseph was left in prison for many years until King Pharaoh had a dream and no one around could interpret it. It was then that the Baker remembered Joseph in prison.  His blessings of interpretation brought him to great fame in the eye of the King.  God restored unto him all that the locusts had taken away. He was blessed and highly favored by all.

Like Joseph let's forgive those who have mistreated us in unfavorable situations. Let's continue to pray for and share our blessings with them.

Until we meet again soon.

One In A Million

(Thought: A Friend)

Have you ever been in  trouble long enough to turn around and find out that all your friends were gone?
You called on God asking Him to show you your friends because you needed that special relationship with another human being.

According to the book, "Introduction to the Counseling Profession, by David Capuzzi and Douglas R. Gross,

Many people find themselves engaged in some type of helping relationship nearly every day.  Some helping occurs informally, while other helping happens in a more formal way.  Friends and family usually help one another in a reciprocal, informal way while helping professionals such as counselors, psychologists, or social workers help their clients within a formal unidirectional relationship.  In a friendship, people  share concerns and give each other information, advice, and support.

Based on bible principles there is one in a million people that can be a true friend to us, and his name is Jesus, the one who laid down his life for me- us. The one who set me - us - free; one day on Calvary.

Biblical and profession relationships is based on one main substance, and no one can doubt it; and that is love. According to I John 4:16, God is love.

Let's remember to have a friend we must first show friendliness.

God Is Healing Our Hurts

(From The Minister's Heart)

Sometimes it seem as if we are hurting beyond measure, the pain will not go away, nor will it stop. We know to call upon our maker and creator the Lord, but our voice will not utter a sound except, "Lord Have Mercy."

David said in Psalm,

Psalm 4:1

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou has enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

Psalm 5:1-3

Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my medication.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray

May voice shall thou hear in the morning.  O Lord, in the morning will I direct my prayer unto the, and will look up.

David went deeper in the spirit to give God Praise:

Psalm 8:1

O LORD, our Lord how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who has set thy glory above the heavens.

Psalm 18:3

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised:so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

David received his blessed assurance when he said,

Psalm 23: 1,6

The lord is my shepherd; I shall not want...

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

God is only a call away. Let's call in the name of Jesus and tell him what we want.

Let's let God continue to heal us everywhere we hurt.

Until we meet again - soon.

Room For Real Success

Genesis 41:38

So Pharaoh asked them, "Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?

Joseph was Jacob's eleventh and favorite son; and Rachel's first born. His brothers was very jealous of, and wanted to kill him. He was blessed because God gave him the gift to be able to interpret dreams. His gift got him into trouble with his brothers and others, but got him out again by interpreting dreams for king Pharaoh.

Pharaoh realized that real success always came at the hand of God. Joseph came down the line of blessed servants of God. For example, His great grandfather, Abraham, was so blessed because of his faithfulness to God. He blessed him by making him father of many nations, and his wife, Sarah, mother of many nations.

Genesis 41:39

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

Being God's children we must always remember that whatever we go through, at the end of  the darkness there will be light - a time to be blessed if we just hold on and endure with faith in God.

Let's always remember that we will have room to succeed but real success comes from God.

Temptation Is Silent

Thought!

Many times temptation seems to be to an innocent thought or imagination; something that fascinates us. Something that cannot do any harm because it is always behind the scene, in our mind. When the sensual beast strikes we find ourselves swept off our feet, not being able to control our actions, because we entertained it for a long period of time. Now it is ready for foreplay. That innocent thought has grown into a roaring beast.

I Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

James 1:12-15

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempted he any man:

** In order to resist temptation we must be able to cast down all false imaginations, by telling God to:
1.  Take our heart and mold it.
2.  Take our mind and transform it.
3.  Take our will and form it to His.

*** Our adversary, Satan, is going to and fro seeking whom he may devour with temptations. He comes  through our senses: seeing, tasting, smelling, hearing and sometimes our feelings. We know that everything that seems to be good is not always good for us.

The bible says, "Jesus was tempted in every way possible to man, but he never sinned, gave into the temptation."

Let's continue to ask God to make a way for us to escape temptation.

Until we meet again - soon.

Speak Over Yourself

Proverbs 8:7-8

For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

***Because the power of life and death are in the tongue; and those that love it shall eat the fruit thereof, according to Proverb 18:21. It is so much easier to speak life over ourself instead of putting ourself down every time we blunder or make a  careless mistake.

Life is full of choices and challenges and it is up to us to chose the right one through much prayer and communicating with God.  He is just waiting to hear from us; and watching over us to help when we make those careless mistakes as humans do.

We must never demote or put ourself down when we fall and stumble as people do.  The bible says, "We fall down seven times but we get up.  It is with the righteous and powerful hand of our Heavenly Father, that He lift us up again.

By speaking blessings over ourselves we will have a  life full of wisdom, fruitfulness and Godly choices as we make wise decisions.  Choosing life will prolong our days here on earth so we may carry out our Father's will.

Deuteronomy 30:19b

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Let's remember that every day we must speak life and blessings over ourself and our family lives with permission of our Heavenly Father, through prayer and communication.

Until we meet again - soon.

A Life Built Of Integrity

Genesis 39:9

There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

Joseph, a meek and humble young man full of dignity, respect for his Master and a lot of love for God would not lie with his Master's wife, even though she wanted him to. Because he was a blessed, faithful and obedient man of God His Master, Potiphar, ended up putting  him in charge of every thing in his household except his wife.

Resisting temptation is something we endure almost every day. Doing the right thing is always the best way out of a situation that seem very desirable.  We know that situations that look good does not always have a good outcome.

Unrighteous things that are done in the dark will always be uncovered, come to the light, according to the bible.  Even Jesus was tempted in all ways but he never sinned.  Staying in contact and in connection with our Heavenly Father will help up to be strong in our daily walk and talk with Him.

Being drawn away by the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life is not God's will for our life. Being drawn by the Holy Spirit, love and His mercy for us is.

A life built on Godly principles of integrity is a desirable way to live.
