Improving Ourselves

Judges 10:10

And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.


Judges 10:13-15; God said,

Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.

Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.

And the children of Israel said unto the Lord, we have sinned: do unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.


***Sometimes, we, Christians backslide and turn our back on God, not thinking whatever situation comes our way we always need Him, because He is a present help in trouble. We seem to loose focus on the one who created and kept us safe all of our life.

We began to put things before God, making us an idol god. Worshipping things that we should not: money, status and fame. Trying to keep up with our neighbors, instead of continuing to help and love them. Leaving God's safety zone and following after the things money can provide for us.  Not thinking that God has given us the power to get wealth. Following our ambitions and not the mission He has set before us.

Sometimes this is why bad things happen to good people because we turn away from our first love, God.  When we keep turning from Him. Not holding onto His everlasting and loving hands He allows things to occur in our lives that we have no control over.  We later find ourselves again looking to Him for reconciliation, our only true help in time of trouble.

***God says, "He is a jealous God, and we must not have other gods before Him.


GOD SAYS, 'HE IS MARRIED TO A BACKSLIDER.  If we return to Him, being Godly sorrow for our sins, He is just and faithful to forgive us for our trespasses against Him.


Lets continue to serve our true and living God, and  not put anything or anyone before Him.
