The Thrill of Sweet Victory

Joshua 6:2-4

And the Lord said unto Joshua, see, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the King thereof, and the mighty men of valour.

And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about he city once. Thus  shalt thou do six days.

And the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.

Joshua and the Israelites received victory over Jericho because he followed God's direction to the T. Joshua and the Israelite army did not have to fight, or shed blood in way to win the victory.

God commanded Joshua to march  around the city once a day for six consecutive days, marching in silence.
On the seventh day he was told to march around the city seven times, and the priest will blow the trumpets after the final march; and  Joshua told the people to shout. A shout for sweet victory. The wall of the city fell down flat.

If we obey God and do exactly what He has instructed us to do, we also will have victory over the tests and trials that shows up in our life. We can not afford to take for grant what God has told us to do.  Behind every commandment there are promises and blessing to reward us for our obedience to His will and way.

Lets continue to have victory in our life when we are faced with challenges that we have no control over, by obeying God.

Until we meet again - soon.
