Happy Days Are Here Again!

(From The Minister's Heart)

This is a new year; old things have passed away and all things become new. We know that we had some good times and some bad times last year. Lets forget those things which are behind, especially the bad times, and reach forth to those things which are before. We should press toward the mark for the prize of a high calling of God in Christ Jesus, the bible says.

We should not let our mental state, frame of mind, hold us back or keep us from enjoying the New Year  with our family and friends. Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning.

I Samuel 30:6

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

*** Many times when we have done all we can and things don't turn out the way others think they should; sometimes they will turn against us, and all we have left is the Lord, our fortress, a pleasant help in the time of need. The joy of the Lord is our strength and we can encourge ourselves in him alone.

Acts 26:1-2

Then A-grip-pa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
I think myself happy, King A-grip-pa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof  I am accused of the Jews:

*** The bible tells us, When we are brought up before the counsel or accusers, God will give us what to say within the same hour. We don't have anything to worry about when we are accused or held accountable for something that we have no control over, because God has our back. All we have to do is stay in the word of God and meditate. When that time comes the Holy Spirit will bring all things back to our remembrance that Jesus has told us, according to the bible.

Job 5:17

Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore depise not thou the chastening of the Almighty.

Proverbs 3:11

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

Psalm 146:5

Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:

James 5:11

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

*** Eternal happiness is not found in things or people; it is found in the Lord. Job, being a prime example - in everything he went through lossing his children, live stock and other possessions, never gave up on God; and he received double for his troubles.

*** Lets stay encouraged and think ourselves happy in the Lord. Many of our days are what we make of them.

*** These are days that the Lord has made let us  rejoice and be glad/happy in them.

Until we meet again - soon.
