Looking For Life's Direction

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is telling us today that he is the only way we can get into our Heavenly Father's Kingdom.

Trying to get to God any other way is as a theif trying to still salvation.  Dying on the cross for our sins

made Jesus the open door to our father's Kingdom - house.

John 14:5-7

Thomas siath unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If ye had know me, you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have

seen him.

Many times in moments of despire we ask the Lord, Where are you or where were you when trouble hit?"

God tells us every day that He is our Safety Net when trouble hit. He is that open door to eternal life.

If we know Jesus we have also known our Lord and saviour, who is one in the same.  Jesus is, as we say,

the spiting image of God.

In looking for Life's Direction - look for the open door to eternal life - this is where Jesus is.

Until we meet again - soon

We Come A Long Way Baby

We have come this far by faith. We are lending and depending on the Lord, doing what ever it will take.

We can see how far God has brought us from. Knowing others wanted to be kept by Him more than some.

He brought us out of trouble and into the power of His might. Living in iniquity He could have put us out of His sight.

When we loose our since of direction, you will hold us in your loving arms with your utmost protection.

When we are lonely and very sad. You will send your spirit to give us joy with a promise of making us glad.

In  looking  back over our life we can not image why you love us so.  It was on the cross that you never said no.

We must be stronger in God's word - because some of the Biblical scriptures and principles we have never heard.

Now is the time to seek Christ as never before - because in our life He is the only one who can open the door.

I have found that Jesus always shows us his love. He does all things with the help of God from above.

We must love Him with all our heart, mind, and might. He is Alpha and Omega because in purchasing our souls, He had to fight.

We Come A Long Way Baby.

Everlasting Life Through Christ

John 11:25

Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

At our time of departure from this world, from our earthly body, we - our spirit - will enter a new place to be with the Lord.

The same way Jesus rose, and later went back to his heavenly father, is the same way we will be resurrected spiritually and be with our heavely father forever also.

John 11: 17

Then when Jesus came, he found that he-Lazarus- had lain in the the grave four days already.

Lazarus was dead for four days before Jesus raise him by performing a  miracle of "Life over death,  or Eternal and everlasting life through Christ."

The life we live today determines whether we will live eternally with our Lord or not.

Lets continue to live our life through Christ - until we meet again soon.

The Sweet Taste Of Bitterness

It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but then he is gone his way, then he boasteth, is he a liar.

Bread of deceit is sweet to a man: but afterwards  his mouth shall be filled with gravel - or is it sand?

Whoso  curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness, is this like no other.

An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but it shall not be blessed at the ending.

Mercy and truth preserve the King: and his throne is upholden by mercy - as we have seen.

The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward belly parts.

The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray hair, not a tent.

A Woman Born To Be A Mother

My relationship with my mother began many years ago, during the nine months she carried me.

My mother, like many mothers, took care of and nurtured me as a child. During my adolescent years I realized that my mother was a strong, firm and caring woman. She never showed many negative emotions such as nervousness, short tempered, or yelled at me when she was upset.  Her voice was as strong as she was firm. She was the center of our household.  She saw to it that her children were dressed on time each morning for school.  She made sure we had enough lunch money during the week.  When we arrived home each evening from school she always had dinner cooking.  I attended Rossville Elementary school, located  in the city of Rossville.

During my teenage years I went to Fayette Ware High School located in Somerville, TN.  Somerville is the County seat for all the small surrounding cities located in Fayette County.  My mother was there for me during these years also. She always counselled me on finishing school. She believed her children should have a good education. She also believed and had faith that I would finish.Telling me my education would be very important to me in the coming years.

Because my mother was a strong, firm and caring woman, I always did what she said. I never questioned her statements, whether she was right or wrong. She made many decisions for her children during our adolescent years.  I was always a nice, quiet, and easy going child during my adolescent years. Eventhough, my characteristics were opposite of my mother's, she could always tell when I was upset about something.  She would listen, and then talk to me about the problems in my life.

The problems that concerned me the most never did have a big impact on her. I guest because she had been there, done that and had moved on.  She had a way of making my big problems seem very small.  When she finished talking to me, she would show her love by touching me and giving me a smile.

My mother was not able to finish school because she was raised on a farm, and had to help her parents with daily chores.  She could not read very well but she would always see to it that I had a tutor that would help me with my homework.  After I graduated from High school in the summer, May 1973, my mother allowed me to make the decision on whether to go to college or not.

I entered Shelby State Community College, a two year college, during the fall, September 1973. In 1977 I had my first and only child, Shona Rosser.

As I look back over my life I realize my mother was my best friend. She had to be strong and firm because she had to finish raising eight children after my father died.  She had to be caring as most mothers are, in order for her children to confide in her and disclose our heart felt secrets.  Now  that I am a mother and grandmother I realize all the different aspects and phases of life a mother has to go through to raise children. Being a friend indeed, a mother when we were in need, and someone who will intercede when  we are in trouble.  Eventhough our educational background is different, our values and beliefs are the same because she instilled them in me. I also believe in my child's and grandchildren education, and that it will be very important to them in the coming years.

No one will ever take the place of my mother, Vergie B. Rosser. Born a mother, and died as our friend on January 16, 1976.

Preaching With Authority

We must preach the word like a butter fly and teach the power of it as to be. How God interacts with this - many may never see.

The power of the gospel is so compelling to the lost, lost soul. Can we afford to loose one person only heaven knows?

We must first study to show ourselves approved of God. This may be the begining of teaching but by meditating it will not be very hard.

Be ready in and out of season to teach His word. Many people have passed on and have never heard.

Trust in the Lord and He will give us what to say.  There will be no surprises if we always strat to pray.

He will always be with us when we need Him the most - because in reaching lost souls - we can not boast.

We can say this about the word, "It has inspired both men and women to search the scriptures instead of preaching what we only heard."

Only the things we do for Chirst will last.  Through deep meditation - learning the scriptures will be a blast.

Looking For Jesus

John 6:22 & 24

The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

**Many times people look for others for different reasons: Some look to help. Others look to be helped and there are some that give up when seeking seem to be a task.

After the multitude saw the miracles that Jesus had done, also feeding them with two fishes and five loaves of bread. The crowd wanted him to be their king. They did not know that his time had not come, or his mission to be crucified and rise again had to take place.

Why do we seek Jesus?

Because Jesus died for you and me on the cross on Cavalry.

Looking for Jesus is not a hard task. He is the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit all in one, dwelling on the inside of us.

Let's continue to look for Jesus until we meet again - soon.

Living Under Pressure - Depression

Job 3:1-26

After God let the hedge down and allowed Satan to attack Job, his family and his possessions, God restored to Job more than he had in the beginning. Boils were on his body, his children and possessions were destroyed. His wife, supposingly his better half, told him to curse God and die.

Looking closely at Job in chapter 3, we see him as going through a state of depression.  He cursed everything: the day he was born and so on.  He never curse God. He was a man of integrity and loved God, His maker and Creator.

Job said of God, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."

"Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble."

How do we act, react and interact with other while we are under pressure?

Romans 12:2, Tells us about renewing our mind.
Romans 8:7 says, " A carnal mind is enmity against God."
Isaiah 26:3 says,  "If we keep our mind stayed on God, he will keep us in perfect peace."

Philippians 4:8, Tells us to think on good things to renew our minds.

Let's continue to transform our minds to heavenly things- until we meet again soon.
