A New Year - A New Beginning - A New You

(Thought: Old Things passes away).

A New Year for most is a year for a new beginning; to some it is a year for a second chance; and to others it is a year for prosperity, growth and a time for adventure...

***Many times we want to start off right in the New Year but we do not know how to begin. Call upon our Lord and Saviour, because He already has the plans for our life - decently and in order:

Jeremiah 29:11, God said,

I know the thoughts and plans that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope in the end.

Psalm 35:27

Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

III John 1:2

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in heath, even as thy soul prospereth.

Lets remember the steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord. God know our downsitting and our uprising, He understands our thought afar off, according Psalm 139.

Going Down Memory Lane

(From The Minister's Heart)

Many times, as we look back over our life, we wish  that we could change or redo the things that we did  before.  If we could go back into time, the Outer Limits, and change some things maybe life would not look so deem; but time is not always on our side - but God is.

David, the king, the shepherd boy, a man after God's own heart said, "My times are in thy hands, according to Psalm 31:15.

To many of us it may seem as though we did not have enough time to finish the things we started last year in 2011, but God knows about it. We accomplished as much as He allowed us to. We may plan our way but God always order our steps, according to the bible.

James 4:15 says,

For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

We Know that it is better not make a promise to God for the New Year than to break it, because we can do nothing without Him. It is better to say, "With the Lord's help I can do all things."

As we continue to go down Memory Lane lets remembers that there is no reason to turn back, and the only reason to look back is to see how far God has brought us from.

***WE ARE STRIVING TO BE BETTER THAN WE USE TO BE LAST YEAR, WE ARE NOT AS WORSE AS WE COULD BE THIS YEAR, AND WE ARE SUCCEEDING TO BE ONE OF THE BEST FOR NEXT YEAR.

Lets always remember God will do just what He promised us this year, and that is His New Year resolution to us.

Until we meet again - soon.

Babes Show Greatful Praise

Luke 1:46-49

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour.

For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

For he that is mighty had done to me great things; and holy is his name.

***Mary, a virgin, did not  know that she would be chosen by God to be the mother of babe Jesus. God sent angels to her, letting her know that she was highly favoured, blessed among all women, and that she was the chosen one.

Mary did not look on herself more highly than others, but she thanked, praised and worshipped God because He chose her to carry babe Jesus, the word inside of her. When God chooses us for a spiritual mission He also sends His Holy Spirit to over shadow us, so that we might be filled with His word. We start out as Babes in the word at first, being on milk, later the word inside of us develop through wisdom, knowledge and experiences with God.

We as Babes in the word should shower God with love for His choosing us to carry out such a great  mission. Sometimes this mission seem impossible but with Him nothing is. We can do all things  through Christ who strengthens us.

From the beginning of creation God chose little old me-us- to perform such great tasks as carrying the birth of the word inside of me-us. Staying in sink with our creature and obeying His commandments allows us to have favour with Him also. This is why we were chosen to perform missions others think are impossible.

Psalm 103:1-2

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Lets remember to show greatful praise in our mission.

Spiritual Strength To Endure

(Thought)

II Corinthians 13:9

For we are glad when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

*** It is a blessing to be strong enough to endure hardship, pain and trials because we know it is not by our power or might that we can do anything.  It is by the power of God that resides within us to endure many problems that arise in our life. Many times when Christians suffer all the day long for righteousness sake others are there to help lighten the load through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 6:10

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

*** We must realize that we have no strength of our own. The power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us  belongs to the Lord, and it attaches itself to our feeble and weak body to make us strong.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

*** We are able to accomplish great things with the help of our Lord and Saviour.  The bible tells us, "Once the Holy Ghost come upon us, we shall have power to do many things. God's given power to live by -amen.

Lets use the spiritual strength/power God has given us to help others.

Until we meet again soon.

What Does Love Have To Do With It?

(Fayette County Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance - 4th Quarter Praise and Worship Service)

John 3:1-16

My sermon title came from a movie I saw about a well know singer, Tina and her manager and husband, Ike Turner.  Their marriage did not end well-because fame, status and money was in it, but Jesus was not.

Nicodemus, a Pharisees- a religious leader, wealthy, educated and a well respected man. A teacher of the Old Testament law, came to Jesus by night wanting to know how he could be born again.

Coming to someone by night must mean you are embarrassed, asham of them or did not want to be seen with them for some reason or the other.  Nicodemus knew what he wanted and came to get what he needed.

Jesus, being the rabbi, teacher that he was of the New Testament did not mind this, because God told us over 2,000 years ago to come as we are.  Those who are laboring and heavily laden, burden down to come to Him, and He will help us.

Nicodemus a ruler of the Jews did not know he was talking to the King of the Jews, the King Of Kings and the Lord Of Lords.

Jesus and Nicodemus did a lot of dialoging back and forth because of Nicodemus question, "How can he be born again, can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, being an older man?

Jesus drilled Nicodemus very good, as if he was in the army drilling his men.  Asking him questions and asking why he did not know the answers because he was a teacher, and a man of authority and power.

Jesus knew Nicodemus did not know about heavenly things, mercy and grace spoken in the new testament so he told him about earthy, natural things, that he knew of in the old testament.  Taking him down memory lane.

Nicodemus still did not know he was talking to the word of God, A counselor, A Mighty God, Our Father and The Prince of Peace.  When Jesus asked him a question - he already knew the answerer, as Shirley Ceasar says, "When God ask a question He already knows the answer."

Being born again is the same thing as being saved - which is found in Romans 10:9-11
If we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved...

When we ask God for something/a question His answer is either no, yes or wait. He don't usually give us a straight answer, if He did we would never talk to Him, thank Him for what we have, pray or read our bibles.  If He gives us an answer right away we would have no reason to Praise and Worship Him.

What Does Love Have To Do With It?"

Deuteronomy 6:5 and Matthew 22:37 - Jesus says,

Love God with all our heart (mind), our soul, and with all our might- with all our being.

Love your neighbor as thyself.

Jesus new commandment in John 13:34 says, "Love one another; as he has loved us.

THIS IS WHAT LOVE HAS TO DO WITH IT

John 3:16 says,

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

Paul, whose name use to be called Saul, said he was the chief of sinners. Use to crucify the saints of God and throw them in jail asked, "Who shall separate us from the love of God."  Then he thought about this thing, being inspired by God to write, said,  "Neither height, now death, or principalities, things to come, things in the past, things in the future, things in the present, nor beings or creatures shall separate us from the love of God.

Alter Call - There is room at the cross. Come as you are, like Nicodemus did.

Testing Our Faith

Genesis 22:12

He said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou has not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

Many times God allows our faith in Him to be tested. We may promise God something and never attempt to make the vowel good.  When God asked Abraham to offer up his only begotten son, Isaac, he never said no. Abraham's obedience was better than any sacrifices he would have made. Because of his obedience and faithfulness, God provided him with another burnt offering, a ram in the bushes. Abraham's  faith was so strong in God that He counted it as righteousness.

Today our faith is tested in many ways: through trials, situations and problems...  Knowing that God said, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous but He will deliver us out of them all - really is a faithful promise for us all

Because Abraham was faithful, he discovered that the Lord would provide, and the bond between them was strengthened. Abraham named the place of burnt offering Jehovah-jireh meaning "The Lord Will Provide.

God never ask us to do anything that He would not do.

Let's remember that God also offered His only begotten son as a lamb for all mankind, Jesus, because He was so faithful to us.

A Time To Love, Live and Have Peace

(Thought: This is the time to...)

A time to love, and a time to show concern well above.

A time to live, and a time to share and give.

A time to have a friend, and a time it must end.

A time to know, and a time to let patience show.

A time to be, and a time to use wisdom to see.

A time of hope, and a time we must cope.

A time to cease, and a time to have peace.

A time of praise, and a time to use it all of our days.

A time to love our neighbors as ourselves.  A time to live so God can use us. A time to have peace and let violence cease.

Until we meet again - soon.

Praise Him In The Middle Of It

(From The Minister's Heart)

In the middle of our trouble and problems lets praise the Lord anyway. Praise Him anyway.  It may seem as though our problem is not getting any easier.  Knowing who God is, we know that He will make us strong enough to accept the situation. God never leaves us in any situation that we do not have control over when we praise Him in the middle of it.

Psalm 113: 1-3 David said,

Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.

Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised.

Psalm 147:1

Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and the praise is comely.

Let's remember when praises go up blessings do come down showering us with His mercy and grace.

KNOWING THAT GOD HAS HAD HIS HAND ON US ALL YEAR LONG, LET'S PRAISE HIM IN THE MIDDLE OF IT.

Until we meet again-soon.

An Upright Man

(My Sermon on Sunday, December 11, 2011)

Job Chapters 1-42

Job lived in the land of Uz, he was a prosperous man, well to do financially and spiritually.

God allowed Satan to attack Job and all the he had - his substance.  God offered Job to Satan because He knew Job was a faithful man and hated and avoided evil.

Satan said to God, "After I take away all Job has he is going to curse you to your face."  Satan's attack on Job not only took away all that he had, but caused him to have boils all over his body, from his head to his toes.

Jobs adversaries:

1. Mrs. Job sounded like Satan, "Telling Job to curse God and die because of the perdictiment he was in.
It sounded as though she was ready to get rid of him.

2. Job's three best friends who was suppose to come mourn and offer their comfort to him -  conversation turned into a debate, argument - to reason out his suffering. A question and answer session.

In both of Job's debates with his wife and friends he always kept his integrity. Saying he did nothing wrong to cause this affliction upon him; and upholding the good name of the Lord. Job's final question to his friends was, "How long will you vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?"  While he continued to scrape the sores over his body.

At this point God, himself, started speaking to Job - asking him numerous question - already having the answers and not justifying anything as He asked the questions. God always does what He want; when He want, and the reason He wants to do it.

God also corrected Job's three friends by telling them, "They had not spoken the right things about Him, but Job had."

God made Job's friends give him some of their cattle and offer a burnt offering. God then had Job to pray for them. Afterwards God blessed Job. He gave him double for his trouble - twice as much as he had.

It is a good thing to walk upright before God; do what He says and have faith in Him. He can make your enemies your foot stool; and have you to pray for those who despitefully misuse you.

When things go wrong and friends and others turn their back on you, continue to trust in God. Do what He tells you to do, "Be still, just be still. He will never leave us, nor forsake us.  Don't you know, yes, you already know, He will never leave you.  Just be still."

Lets try to be upright Christians until Christ returns - and until we meet again - soon.

Economical Restoration

(Thought)

Is the economical recession that we are living in  based on man's intellect, capability or wisdom?

God shall supply all our needs  according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus. Keeping God's commandments and asking for what we need in the name of Jesus.

In the beginning during King Pharaoh's time there was a famine. Nothing but the wisdom of God through man could achieve the knowledge to end the Economical disaster. God used a humble, obedient servant named Joseph to work with others through it..

Genesis 41:55-56

And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph: what he saith to you, do.

And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.

King Pharaoh told Joseph because God had showed him many things, there was none as discreet and wise as he was, according to Genesis 41:39.

***There are many things we must overcome in order for our land to be healed, receive restoration and be prosperous:

The scripture also tells us, "If we humble ourselves, and pray, and seek God's face, and turn from our wicked ways; then He will hear from heaven, and will forgive our sin, and will heal our land.

King David also said, "He was once young but now he is old, and he has never seen righteous, nor his seed begging bread.

God says, "In keeping His commandments He will restore to us what the locust, worms and canker worms has taken from us.

Lets continue to receive the very best God has for us through Economical Restoration.

Until we meet again - soon.

Set Aside For His Work

(From The Minister's Heart)

*** Many times we are set aside to do the work of the Lord, because the one who lives inside of us will gives us joy, strength and power to carry out God's will.

Psalm 4:3

But know that the Lord has set apart him that is godly for himself;  the Lord will hear when I call upon him.

*** When God has a mission for us to perform He appoints and anoints us to carry out the mission. He  makes our pathway straight for us to walk therein. He gives us exact directions to follow with the guidance of His Holy Spirit.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

*** God's plans for us is to prosper and give us hope in every aspect of our life, and a good future.

*** We know that the plans, goals and mission that God has for us is not by our might, nor by our power, but by His holy spirit, Zechariah 4:6

*** In remembering Apostle Paul, who's name was previously Saul, called himself the Chief of sinners. God converted him, then he began preaching the gospel of Christ with power and wisdom from above.  This man was set aside, anointed and appointed to do the work of the Lord.

Let's continue to be set aside by God to do His miraculous work.

Until we meet again - soon.

Sharing A Faithful Man's Fortune

Genesis 12:1-3

Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

And I will bles them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

*** Abraham was a great man of faith. He trusted God very much: for his well being. After obeying God by leaving his country, relatives and father's house, out of Abraham lions God made a great nation. He blessed him coming in and going out, and made his name well known among men.

Knowing that obedience is better than sacrafice Abraham made the choice to obey God. In return, God let him know that he didn't have anything to worry about in life. God said, "He would bless those who blessed  him and curse those who did not. Also all families who came out of his lions would be blessed.

Lets continue to follow in Abraham's foot steps by trusting and having faith in God, so that He will give us the desires of our heart.

Until we meet again - soon.

Longing For Love

(Poetic Thought)

It is so important to find and marry the person of your dreams. Life is so short, here today and gone tomorrow, as it always seems.

We must never settle for anything less.  We can look  to the hills from whence cometh God's very best.

Ask no questions about when, where and why. Many times when we see life as it really is- we want to cry.

Take time to smell your rose and drink your coffee too, because our future is flying past us, as we say, and this is nothing new.

If you have not accomplished all that you wanted to in life. Don't worry about any of that - start it over again, fresh in Christ.

I say once, and I say it twice. The rest of the statements I make are not going to be very nice:

When looking for a spouse who can take care of you, always remember, to read the license before hand and said I do.

You will have a lasting relationship for many days. Always remember God's promises in what the bible says.

Your spouse and you may not see eye to eye. Sometimes you will laugh and other times you will want to cry.

Love is a thing you don't want to miss. Depend deeply on the Lord, have faith, and it will always  exist.

In looking back over your life at what you had missed. You thought, finally, I know that Holy matrimonial love does not come with a risk.

Marriage Works

(From The Minister's Heart)

When a man and woman marries - enters into holy matrimony. They also enter into a covenant -binding agreement - with God to put Him first in their life.

Genesis 2:18

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone;  I will make him a help meet.

Genesis 2:24

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother; and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

*** God do not want man to be alone on earth so he made woman to help him - so they can fellowship and have a good relationship with each other. God also wants to fellowship and have a good relationship with us.

A nationally known TV pastor said, "We have to work at marriage the way we work at salvation."

Our class Instructor/Counselor said, " Her counselling sessions in marriage is based on Ephesian 5:21 - 33."

***Ephesian 5:21 - 33 is in the Holy bible for our reading.

*** A main point God is telling spouses is to be submissive to each other, also be respectful to each other. The wife knows her husband is the head of the house and she should be obedient to him according to the word of God.  The husband knows the wife is the weaker vessel and he should respect her and lay down his life for her. To allow her to lean and depend on him through Jesus Christ.

*** Lastly, marriage vowels  are very sacred: for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer through sickness and in health ... till death separate us.

*** This is what Jesus said, " I will never leave you or forsake you; I will be with you until the end of the earth."  That is what he said.

Hold on, hold on I will be with you that is what he said - song

*** Again, marriage is holy and the vowels are sacred.

*** Before marrying someone it is good to get spiritual counseling.

Proverb 18:22

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.

*** When a man find a good help meet - a woman in the Lord - both of them have God's  blessings in the marriage.

*** Ask God to give you his chosen spouse and obtain his favor

.

Lets let our marriage work out in the Lord - until we meet again soon?

Holiday Acknowledgement

During this time of year many people have problems financially, not only with regular bills but with accumulated bills from the holidays: Thanksgiving dishes, Christmas dishes and gifts, then there is the big one, the New Year celebration.

After we come back to reality the big question is, "What Must I Do to be saved from these bills?"

This is the same question Nicodemus asked Jesus after coming to him by night,  in short, "What must I do to be saved?"

Many times we ask last - what should have been the first question.

Matthew 6:33-34 says,

Seek ye first the kingdomm of God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

***We should  acknowledge God in all our ways by seeking Him for ways of doing things right, and then other things will be given to us.

If we have not acknowledged Him from the beginning, don't worry about whats all ready done, lets began in prayer - thanking Him for a better outcome; because tomorrow is going to hold enough problems in itself.

We can always cast our worries and cares on God, because He first cared for us.  He knows how much we can bare. We need to take them, our problems and worries, to the cross and leave them there.

Lets continue to acknowledge God during this holiday season.

Until we meet again - soon.

A Childless Mother

(Thought)

God loves His children all the time.

I Samuel 1:11 says,

And Hannah vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

***The bible tells us, Our children are a blessing to us.  God gives us children to make us happy.  We are to care for and nurture them in a Godly manner.

Questions Posed:  Should our children be left in the care of anyone during holiday seasons?

Parents should always know where their children are and who they are with...

The same courtesy should be given to children. They should always know where their parents are in case of an emergency.

Our children should be given the same quality of attention, love and care with caretakers as they are with us?

Psalm 113:9

He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

***The bible also tells us  to bring our children up in a way pleasing to God; teaching them biblical principles.

***We  know that children are our future, the next generation, and our caregivers in our latter years.

Lets continue to let our attention, love and  joy show towards our children.

Until we meet again - soon.

A Day Of Thanksgiving

(From The Minister's Heart)

** Christians realize that every day is a day of Thanksgiving.  God has been so good to us, and every day He keeps on blessing us. His mercy is renewed every morning.

Psalm 34: 1 - 3

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

** Let us bless the Lord by thanking Him for all that he has done for us.  He watched over us from the time we were in our mother's womb until now.  Let us magnify the Lord by praising His holy name. Let our soul bless the Lord and not forget all His benefits, according to Psalm 103:2

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Psalm 37:25

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Thanksgiving is a national holiday set aside for families to thank the Lord for all the blessings and benefits He has bestowed upon us: Family, friends, love ones, food, clothes and shelter ...

_________________________________

VETERANS DAY - November 11, 2010

Another national holiday.  Lets continue to be thankful for the men and women who laid down their lives for our country, so that we could have a better life: For our freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
This reminds me of what Jesus, our savior, done, but he did much more.

Let us continue to be thankful - until we meet again - soon.

Knowing What Prayer Can Do

Matthew 6:6

Buy thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou  hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

When we pray to our heavenly Father we don't have to use big words, so that we may be seen and heard, for our fine vocabulary.  God knows our heart; He knows what we have need of before we ask Him.  Being sincere in our prayer life is what is needed, and asking for it in the name of Jesus.

When we pray secretly to God, He reward us openly, by making our request know publicly.  The sincere and humble prayer from our heart reaches His heart.

In Matthew 6

Jesus taught his disciples the model prayer. Being a child of God we have a personal relationship with Him and it shows up in our prayer life.

In distress, a prayer may simply be:  Lord have mercy on me.  Help me Lord.   Keep me Lord, etc....

Philippians 4:6 says,

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be make known unto God.

Prayers should always end with thanking the Lord for His goodness, mercy and what He is about to do in our life.

Lets contine to remember what prayer can do in our lives.

Until we meet again - soon.

One Feet (Step) Before The Other

(Thought)

Psalms 37:23-24

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

Psalm 119:133

Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Many times in life it seems as though so much is happening at once and we are running out to time and space. Instead of taking one step at a time we try to juggle everything instantly.  Making a big mess out of the task we are trying to accomplish.

We must acknowledge God every day and in all our ways. If we commit our works and everything we do unto the Lord, during the day our thoughts will be established, according to Proverbs 16:3.

Things that are impossible and hard to complete by man is just right for God. Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me."  Nothing is too hard for God. He watches over His word to accomplish that which He has spoken, "Let There Be."

The Holy Spirit is abiding with us. It teach us and leads us to do all things that our Heavenly Father tells us.

We can do all things through Christ, and nothing is accomplished without Him.

Lets continue to let God lead us by ordering our steps in His word.

Until we meet again - soon.

The Greatness Within Men

(From The Minister's Heart)

There are many great men in society. The greatness is within the man.  It is call the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, which abides with him and teaches him all things. It bring all things back to his remembrance that Jesus has told him. It leads and guides him to all truth and righteousness.

After the Holy Ghost comes upon man he has power because:

It abides with him.
It resides within him.
It relies on him, to do the work of his Father.

This same Holy Spirit allows man to be a witness to other men concerning the goodness of God.  Lifting God up and drawing all men unto Him. Other men will be able to teach and preach the word of God. It gives men the power to accomplish things in the spiritual realm that the natural side of man can not accomplish.

***They have move out of that old house, moved into the new house. They have a brand new life and a new way of living.

Lets continue to remember that God's greatness resides within men.

Until we meet again - soon.

A Loving Attitude

Matthew 5:43-44

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

***As Christians we must show love towards our fellow man. What purpose does it serve to love those who in return love us?  As Christians we can learn to love our enemies.

Love is a powerful emotion; it can over come a multitude of faults. Loving others bring out a Christ like attitude in us, and it draws others to Him.

Some people hold onto love as they hold onto faith. They have the hope of seeing another one of God's given days.

God is Love and without this love for our fellow man we will not be able to see our Heavenly Father.
Out of all the deeds that we do for God if we do not have love, our work will be in vain.

Lets continue to have a loving attitude to win others to Christ. God draws us through  His loving kindness.

Jesus Dropped The Charges

(Thought - Have we taken our sins to the Cross)?

Before being crucified, Jesus was taken from Judgement Hall to Judgement Hall, for all sinful indictments against us. All the things that separated us from him.

Our case of misconduct and multiple sins were dropped. The case of the century was dropped on Calvary Hill, at the feet of the cross, where Jesus Christ, our saviour, hung, bleed and died for those sins:

Proverbs 6:16-20

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

God says, "My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:"

"It was at the Cross, at the Cross, where we first saw the light and all our sins were washed away."

Lets continue to carry our sins-concerns-to the cross.

Until we meet again - soon.

Seeking Happiness -continuation

(From The Minister's Heart)

(Lesson I taught on Wednesday night, November 9, 2011 in Bible study).

Seeking Happiness. (Visiting the blog on October 31, 2011- continuation).

Lesson taught by Jesus, Sermon on the mountain, the Beatitudes. Every blessed word that Jesus starts His statements with meant that we are happy if we endure those things in life.

When trying to continue to be happy in life sometimes we must encounter many things:

We must allow our mind to be over our circumstances as Daniel did when he was in the Lion's Den.

When the Hebrew boys was in the fiery furnace their focus was on Jesus being in there with them, not on the fire itself.

When David, as a young lad, fought with Goliath he did not look at the size of his problem, because he knew the battle was not his. It belonged to the Lord.

Paul said "He had to think himself to be happy" when he was brought to council and accused of many things by the Jews.

Lets remember that true happiness, joy and peace comes from above.

Living In Harmony With Others

Living in harmony with others has a lot to do with the love and the peace that abides within us:

Jesus said before he went away

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Hebrew 12:14

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

Romans 5:5

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

II Corinthians 13:11

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Lets continue to let brotherly love continue in our heart towards all mankind, whether it is in family, work or personal relationships.

Until we meet again soon.

Strength To Endure

(Thought - Where do our strength come from)?

There may be many days when we endure many things, and we need God's anointing to endure all things.

Psalm 20:6

Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed: he will near him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; whom shall I be afraid?

King David - A shepherd boy grew up to be a man after God's own heart, even though, he had another man killed after committing adultery with that man's wife.  King David repented as noted in Psalm 51:10 -12
by saying, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."

Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

King Solomon - David's son, who acquired the throne after King David's death. One who asked God for wisdom to help his people and make righteous judgement over them.  For this act of love God gave him more than he asked for. He gave him riches and made him the wisest man during and after his life time. Later in life King Solomon sinned in life by marrying women who worshipped other Gods.

Moses - A meek man and a great leader, who led God's people - the Israelites- out of Egypt, through the Red Sea and then to the Promise Land.  He did not enter the Promise Land because he disobeyed God by hitting the rock in the wilderness to get water, instead of speaking to it.

Apostle Paul - who's name use to be Saul, called himself the chief of sinners, because he crucified Christians, by beating and throwing them in jail. He met God on Damascus Road one day and his life was changed.

*** These anointed leaders of God had the strength of God to endure the journey He set before them.

Psalm 28:8

The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

Lets continue to be led by God in an anointed way to obtain strength to endure all things.

Until we meet again - soon.

True Confession

(From The Minister's Heart)

In times of trouble we know who to call on, the name of Jesus. There is no other  name with power wherein men might be saved. Saved by giving our life to Jesus; saved from things -going to and fro-in our past and things that are coming to set us back. At the name of Jesus every knee-the unsaved - shall bow and every tongue-lies the devil has told to God about His faithful servants- will confess that Jesus is Lord.

Job 1:7 & 2:2

And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

And t he Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil.

***Satan says, He is here on earth every day to control and attack our lives with any and all devices he has - so that we may go home-to Hades- with him, instead of being with our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

***Learning to call on the name of Jesus on behalf of our family, others, and unsaved loved ones is very important for salvation.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, according to Romans 10:13.

If we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we shall be saved, according to Romans 10:9.

Jesus loves us so much that he said, "Come unto me all those that labour and are overburden and I will give rest unto your souls, according to Matthew 11:28.

Let continue to open our hearts to the  Lord, because True confession is good for the soul.

Until we meet again - soon.

Seeking Happiness

Seeking happiness is not as hard to find as most of us think. One of the first things Jesus told us to do is, "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things will be added to us."  He will add that peace and happiness to our journey.

Jesus taught the Beatitude-Kingdom blessings-on the mountain, he began his statement with Blessed are. Blessed translated means happy are.  In every statement, he said we will be happy if we do this and that:

Matthew 5:3-12        HAPPY

Blessed -happy- are the poor in spirit :...
Blessed are they that mourn ...
Blessed are the meek :...
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst: ...
Blessed are the merciful: ...
Blessed are the pure in heart: ...
Blessed are the peacemakers: ...
Blessed are they which are persecuted...
Blessed are ye, when me shall revile you,...
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven:...

Christians across the nation should practice the Sermon on the mountain, because it lets us know we are going to be tempted, tested and tried in every way. It is up to us to maintain our peace and happiness through the Holy Spirit, who gives us the Fruits of the Spirit.

A Faithful Battle

(Thought)

In our darkest hour when the night has come and the moon is dark, and we can not see the break of day, we need the Lord to stand by us.

Many times concern and doubt grasp hold of our mind and will not release it for processing. We become very depressed or stressed out. This happens to many of us usually when we are in despair. There is no better time than the present to use our faith by standing on the word of God.

A well known Pastor said:

Little Faith - Hopes that God will do what He says.

Strong Faith - Knows He will do what He says.

Great Faith - Believes He has already done it.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Jesus tells us, Our faith makes us whole; if we ask anything of him, and believing we will receive them, we will have them; faith pleases God, according to the bible.

It seems very hard to hold onto our faith when we don't see the things we ask of God manifesting.
If we have the faith, God will fight the battle.

Lets HAVE FAITH IN GOD, according to Mark 11:22

You Don't Live Here Any More

(From The Minister's Heart)

Many times after awakening each morning we allow the same situations to hold us down.We must lay aside every weight that so easily hold us back from experiencing what God has for us. Speaking to the situations in the name of Jesus, and letting them know they don't live in our home any more:

1. Family discord-A family that prays together will stay together.  A house divided among itself will not   stand.

Mark3:35

For whosoever shall do the will of God; the same is my brother, and my sister and mother.

2. Sickness & disease- get out of our body. God says, "He do not dwell in an unclean temple."

Isaiah 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

3. Unemployment and lay off - leave our home in the home of Jesus.

Deuteronomy 8:18

But thou shall remember the Lord thy God; for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Proverbs 13:22

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children; and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

III John 1:2

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Lets use our power to speak to our mountains/difficult situations in our life and tell them to be removed and cast into the sea.

Kiss Of Love

Song of Solomon 4:9-11

Thou has ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou has ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.

How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!

Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.

***Solomon, a King and the wisest man during his life time was full of Godly wisdom.  We notice that he wrote beautiful love poems between a husband and wife, when reading the book of Song of Solomon.

God is love and He wants spouses to have and enjoy that true love that Solomon is speaking about in  poetic ways. Sometimes we love hard and hurt very easily. Knowing that love covers a multitude of faults helps us to keep on forgiving and loving our significant others.

Love between a husband and wife is so divine that God made it Holy through His Holy Matrimony.

Mercy and Grace Given

(Thought)

Lamentations 22-23

It is of the lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfullness.

***Jesus knew before He ascended back to heaven that we were going to be tempted in every way as He was. The difference is that He didn't yield to temptation as we do. He became that temptational sin for us even though He knew no sin, as the bible states.

The temptation to commit sin and do wrong things are going to be a challenge for us every day. We must yield ourselves to God.  Resist the devil as Jesus did, and he will flee from us.  We must let Satan know that we do not live our life by what he says, but by every word that God tells us.  "Get thee behind me Satan" is one way to put him back in our past life. He don't rule our new live because we have been born again, and bought with a price on Calvary hill. Those old, childist things that we use to do, we don't do them any more.  Greater is God that is within us than he-Satan, the father of sin-that is in the world.

***Paul went through many difficult situations in life and the answer God had for him, and us is:
"My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness". Paul replied by saying, "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, than I am strong." (II Corinthians 12:9-10).

***Can we say, as Paul said, "When I am weak in my mortal body, that is when I am strong in the Lord"? When it seem as though a world of troubles are on our shoulders, and we are weak and worried, it is then that the Lord is strong and mighty.

Let's remember that God's Mercy and Grace is given through out the day, in our utmost time of need.

Until we meet again - soon.

DON'T TURN BACK

Our past is behind, there is no giving up and no turning back, although, Satan want us to fall and be under attack

We look back over our life to see how far we have came.  We fall down many times and can't get up, so we call on Jesus' name.

Old things have passed away and all things became new.  This is not what Satan want us to know and hold true.

It seem so long ago that we sinned with shame.  Life is too important to play a meaningless game.

Through sun shine and rain, don't turn back or give up, because we go through many heartaches and pain.

He bore our sins and by his stripes we are healed. This was not by nature, but because of his perfect love, and will.

When we were lost, we done nothing to deserve Jesus giving  up his life for us, and dying on the old rugged cross.

O Jesus, Jesus how sweet the sound. It is better to be free and not be bound.

DON'T TURN BACK.

Children Lives Worth Living

Ecclesiastes 12:1

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, before trouble days come, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.

Temptation is really at at its highest peak among teenagers today:

Suicide, depression, bitterness, anger etc seems to be part of their life style.

Drunk driving, speeding, drag racing and vehicle homicide is at an alarming rate.

Crime is constantly rising at a rampage, anger and revenge is what they seem to long for.

Drugs and alcohol sometimes substitute for food and beverage.

*Our children of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Lets continue to educate them on things that are not Godly. Things that are taken for granted and has many benefits to offer them:

1. A good education

2. A prospering job

3. A wholesome life style, etc.

Lets remember during our life time we are once an adult and twice a child.

Until we meet again - soon.

Encourage Yourself

I Samuel 30:5-6

And David's two wives were taken captives, A-hin-o-am the Jez-re-el-i-tess, and Ab'-igail the wife of Na'-bal the Car'-mel-ite.

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

***Sometimes we are caught up in situations even though we are not at fault. We try again and again to explain to others that we did not cause the problem. It does not seem to matter what we say, to them, we are still to blame. When things go wrong as they sometimes will, humans has a tendency to lay the blame on someone instead of something. We should look at the nature of the situation,  sometimes, instead of who caused it.

All issues that comes into our life are not problems. It is when we focus more on the issue than on God, that the issue become a problem to us.  In our daily walk with God we are going to have issues that arises: on our job, in our home and in our churches. God let's us know that questions and concerns can be solved through His word of wisdom, as stated in Proverbs. In other books of the bible God reveals clearly how He worked out situations for His people, prophets and leaders etc.

When we walk by faith, more than sight, we have to encourage our self, and sometimes make ourselves happy as Paul did, in order, to go forward in life.  We must lay aside those issues, concerns and problems that so easily hold us back from the mission and journey God has for us to complete.

I urge you, as David would say, encourage your self in the Lord.

Until we meet again - soon.

God Does It Best

(From The Minister's Heart)

Let God do what He does best and that is taking care of us.  He tells us to cast our cares on Him because He first cared for us. His entire life: birth, death and resurrection was and still is based on taking care of His children, us. He gave His life on the cross so that we may have eternal life through Him.

He knew that He was going away to prepare a place -mansion -for us, and said, "He would not leave us comfortless. Telling us, our Father would give us another comforter, the Holy Ghost, who will teach us, and  bring back to our remembrance all the things He had told us, according to John 14."

He also charged Peter to care for us while He was gone. While talking to Simon Peter,  He asked Simon, son of Jonas, love thou me? Peter's replied once by saying yes Lord, you know I do.

Jesus said, "Feed my lambs.

Jesus asked Peter the same question the second and third time, "Simon, son of Jonas, love thou me?"

The last time Peter said,  "Lord, you know all things, you know I love you."

Jesus said, "Feed my sheep, according to John 21:15-17."

***Not only did Jesus tell Peter to feed his sheep (adults), but also to take care of and feed His (lambs) children.

***When it seems as though we have had problems on top of problems, or gone through tragedy after tragedy, call on Jesus, a faithful helper in the time of need.

Isaiah 43:2-3

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

*** God told Israel, do not be afraid because you belong to me. Whatever you go through I am going to be with, and take care of you.  They were God's chosen people.

We are also chosen to be His people and to be taken care of because we are called by His name, Christians, as in Christ.

Lets continue to let God do His job by taking care of us and giving us the very best in life.

Until we meet again - soon.

We Don't Have Much - But God Has Really Been Good To Us

Philippians 4:6,7

Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

***Many of us have needs and we look to our job, the government and others to supply them.  Everything we need we can get it through the word of God.

Matthew 6:32-34

For your heavenly Father knoweth that you have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto  you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Psalm 34

David said, O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.

***God really want to bless us and He also wants to keep His commandment.

Romans 6:1-2

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Romans 8: 38-39

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come.

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Lets remember that God has really been good to us - by supplying all our needs through his son, Jesus Christ

Until we meet again - soon.             (Sermon done Sunday, Ocotber 9, 2011 in my church).

Overflowing Wisdom From Above

James 3:17-18 says,

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, f ull of mercy and good fruits, without partially, and without hypocrisy.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

***Wisdom from above is unlike earthly wisdom. It has the Fruits of the Spirit in it. It is not selfish, unkind, deceitful and full of confusion."If any man need wisdom we should ask God." Man's need for wisdom, in today's time, "Is a must" and  it is used many times to make simple, immediate or crucical decisions.

Wisdom is the principle thing, but when we get it lets also get an understanding. It can overflow in our life if we use it the right way: to bless ourselves and others.

Lets continue to hold onto the purity, peacefulness, gentleness, honesty, mercy and fruits of the spirit that is found in the Wisdom from above.

Until we meet again - soon.

Turning Back The Hands Of Time

(Thought)

Can we go back in time?

Many times we all wish that we could turn back the hands of time.  Many things have happened and changed since we were born, grew up and became an adult: Family households, jobs, technology, the economy and sometimes the compassion we have for others.

Many times when we come face to face with tragedies and troubled times our mind goes back to our childhood and we think, "I wish I was young again then my parents would handle the situation that I am in. This is not my battle, it is a battle for them."

Reminiscing is good in recollecting the older days during our youth, and telling stories to our children; but when it comes to facing challenges in real life reminiscing seems like a fairy tale, and so long ago.

God can take us back to the place where we first received him, the place where we first believed.  We can not go back in age or time; but we can go back to Him, our first love.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-3

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them:

While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after rain:

In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,

***Remembering God because we are not our own-to Him we belong. Before we get older, remembering our days of sinful pleasure, and saying, "I do not enjoy them now."

Before our sight get dim or impaired, and our depression turn into tears;

In the day when our hand and arms will have no more strength; neither will our feet and knees, and the teeth will cease to grow.

We can not turn back the hands of time - but we can go back to the place, in our heart, to the time we first  received Him.

Let's continue to receive Him into our hearts - so that He may increase and we may decrease.

Until we meet again- soon.

Being Delivered From Calamities

(From the Minister's Heart)

When calamities come our way, and they seem so hard to bare. Our utmost thought is that God will be right there.

For His mercy is so great to us all. Many times we get so complacent, and on His name, we do not call.

He loves us so much that our burdens He carried to the cross. Talk to the Lord because there is no time to be lost.

Psalm 57:1-3

Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea; in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

I will cry unto God most High; unto God that performeth all things for me.

He will send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah.  God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

***David knew best, when going through calamities, what it took to be blessed.

Lets continue to call on God to be delivered in times as these.

Until we meet again - soon.

Law And Order In The Home

Law and Order sounds like a TV show, about the justice system,  that has been airing for some years now. True law came about during Moses time - the Ten Commandments. This was after the Lord said in

Deuteronomy 5:6

I am the lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Obey my commandments and live, Deuteronomy 5:7-21.

Because you obeyed, you shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it  may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess, according to Deuteronomy 5:33.

Order entered our world by way of grace and mercy through a virgin birth. The child's name was Jesus.

Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Romans 6:14-15

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace?God forbid.

From the beginning Law was dominant in the home. Now we are living under God's order of grace.

Let's continue to let grace abide in our home - until we meet again soon.

Who Are These Spiritual Peoples?

(Thought - Who are these spiritual peoples?)

Matthew 12:47-50

Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.

But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

  • My brother is - One that has laid down his life for us when we had no other.

  • My sister is -  A very  young, beautiful and virgin girl name Mary, and not a mister.

  • My mother is -  A virtuous lady, full of love, wisdom and gentleness, unlike a brother.

  • My father is - One that has His throne in heaven, and in time of need, we can bother.

Let's remember that our spiritual families are the ones who shall do the will of our Father which is in heaven.

Changes Come

by Ralph Marston

You cannot know precisely what tomorrow will bring. Yet there is one thing about tomorrow of which you can be certain. You can be sure that tomorrow will be, in many ways, different than today. Things will continue to change, as they always do. Life itself is a process of change. Night follows day, spring follows winter. Some things grow, while others fade. Styles change, markets change, opinions change, and through it all, life moves forward, changing from day to day.

When the changes don't go your way, take heart. For even the changes are subject to change, and if you're down, the next change can bring you back up.

Learn to weather the changes, to roll with the punches and to run when the wind is at your back. And as the changes continue to come, you'll move surely and steadily ahead.

Neighborly Advice Considered

Proverbs 25:9

Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another.

Neighbors should be able to discuss disputes with one another and not let others know about the matters.

The bible tells us to love our neighbor as our self, not to defraud them and speak peace to them. Neighborly love should continue. Receiving Neigborly Advice is something totally different.

Neighbors are known to talk about matters that does not concern them. Issues that does not involve them.
Neighborly advice is one thing but Godly advice is better.

Considering advice from an older neighbor; one that is wise and seasoned in years and conversation is better than one that is younger, not experienced  and unfruitful.

Good advice is fruitful and unselfish. Bad advice is selfish and will not have a fruitful outcome for all concerned.

Many times we have to consider the source the advice is coming from. Whether the advice is helpful or deceitful.

Let's remember that good advice is also Godly advice. It has the fruits of the spirit and wisdom in it.

WE ARE ALL CHILDREN AT HEART

Thought!

When we need something no one can give us: Not spouse, family or a friend. We call out to God in prayer because we know this is not the end.

We look to the hills from whence cometh our help, because His promises and commandments to us He has kept.

When we are bogged down with sins of the heart it is amazing, if we did not know it, we needed Him from the start.

O how good it is to know him the more. We don't need to talk with hear Sayers. All we need to do is read our bibles instead of going next door.

God says, "He will save us if we seek His face. This is why He covers and protects us under His amazing Grace.

Grace is what we need when we have sinned and come short of His glory. For we all know, as long as we have lived, we have hid our life's story.

Come to Jesus just as we are, humbling ourselves as a child, we don't have to be a doctor, lawyer, a rich man or a star.

In His loving arms He will supply all our needs and keep us still. This is not based on fact or fiction; this is because He has the power to perform His will.

Those who hunger and thirst after righteous shall be filled. This is according to the word of God based on Him dying on Calvary hill.

Satan has no power in our life or over us. Looking to the hills from whence cometh our help, in whom we trust.

WHO'S THAT LADY

(From The Minister's Heart)

The lady was a young, beautiful, godly lady. One who was chosen by God because she obeyed and did His will. She knew no man - being a virgin- but became a mother.

Luke 1:27-31

To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that are highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed are thou among women.

And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou has found favour with God.

And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

***Because Mary was  faithful and dedicated to God He blessed her womb richly. Bringing forth himself into the world, as baby Jesus..

He looked all over He could not find nobody else. He looked high and low this is when He found a virgin name Mary.

***This bible text let us know that our children can remain virgins with Godly teaching, commitment and faithfulness to Him.

MARY WAS ONCE, TWICE, THREE TIMES A LADY BECAUSE SHE WAS BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVOURED AND CHOSEN AMONG WOMEN.

The young lady can be our daughter or granddaughter who is blessed among young women.

NEEDING GOOD ADVICE

Good advice is as Godly counsel. It is not selfish; it has wisdom and the fruits in it. It works out for all that are involved.

It is as a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our pathway. It will lead and guide us to make decisions as the Holy Spirit does.

All good and perfect gifts come from above: as good choices, decisions, a good heart and mind, who is stayed on Him to keep us in perfect peace.

God wants us to be, to do and to have the very best in life. This depends on the decisions and choices we make in life. Do we receive good or bad advise-counsel- from others? Godly wisdom is from above and is pure, peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and hypocrisy.  Earthly wisdom is not from above. It is full of selfishness and very bias, accding to James 3:17

Moses was the wisest man during his life time, one reason is, because he asked God for wisdom to make righteous decisions to help others.

Proverbs 11:14

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Proverbs 15:22

Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

Proverbs 19:20,21

Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.

OUT OF ALL OUR GETTING LET'S USE THE APPROPRIATE ADVICE-COUNSEL FOR OUR SITUATION.

OUR ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN OUR WORDS!

THOUGHT!

It is wiser to do what we say rather than say what we do, because our actions speak louder than our words.

When we tell and teach our children what to do we must be an example ourselves, knowing that we are our children first teacher.

Leading by example is the best advice we can give our children. Many times in life they do and say exactly what we do and say.  Sometimes we wonder where children get their personality, habits and traits from. We must look inside of the home first; then inside the school and church.

From birth children usually spend more time in the home, then in the school and later in the church. Now days children spend most of their time around a teacher more than their parents. Whether this is pre-school or regular school. Mainly because the parents are in the work force.

Lost of connection and communication can come about if time is not spent with children, especially during early learning stages of their childhood and teenage life. During this time a child need much love and affection.

In time past we walked according to the course of this world, walking in darkness, disobeying God, According to Ephesians 2:1.

Proverbs 20:7 says,

"The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him."

Lets continue to be a role model to our children; letting our actions speak louder than our words.

Until we meet again soon.

Little Prayer -Little Power In Our Days

(From The Minister's Heart)

Day 1 - Monday

I awaken this morning with a lot of determination to get my household chores done. We had a lot of company this past weekend and this left my house in a disaster.

Day 2 - Tuesday

After awakening this morning, later than usual, I jumped out of bed to get my kids ages 6 and 7 ready to leave out for school. Having just enough time to go the beauty shop and then cook dinner before my husband get home.

Day 3 - Wednesday

On awakening this morning I realized I had to also rush to the store to purchase food for dinner, get the clothes out of the cleaners, pick my kids up from school, and just have enough time to be at home when my husband gets there.

Day 4 - Thursday

After awakening this morning the first thing on my mind was the Professional women/men group that I am in. I must get the kids off to school, my husband off to work and cook extra food for the group. This will take the rest of my day.

Day 5 - Friday

I woke up just in time to get dressed for my engagement with my Professional group which starts at 9:00 a.m. The children spent the night at their friends house, and my husband had to go out of town and will return tomorrow.

Day 6

After awakening this morning I thought "the week is almost over." My kids will be off to school and my husband will be home from his business trip soon. This day will be ours until the kids get home this evening.

Day 7 - Sunday

I woke up this morning so exhausted and wiped out, and did not want to go to church because the week had been so busy and full. It was time for me to talk to the Lord and ask Him for strength. This is what He said,
" I THE LORD, GAVE AND BLESSED YOU SEVEN DAYS OUT OF THE WEEK, NOT ONE OF THEM DID YOU PRAY AND THANK ME AFTER YOU WOKE. DO YOU REALIZE THESE ARE THE DAYS THAT I HAVE MADE FOR YOU; AND EVERY BREATHE YOU BREAVED WAS MINE?  ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU THANK ME IN PRAYERS SO THAT YOU WILL HAVE THE POWER TO GO ON IN OUR DAYS."

Let's continue to pray each day that our Lord has made.

Until we meet again - soon.

The Path Of Wisdom

The Way of Wisdom and Longevity of days - Wise choices for our life.

Proverbs 4

When we are taught in wisdom  it will guide us and lead us along straight paths.

When we goest out our steps will not be hampered and we will  not stumble.

It will not let us go in the path of evil men.We will be able to turn from and pass away from it.

We should not let wisdom get away from us; we need to bind it in our heart.

Words of wisdom is the life unto our soul.

***Every day we have to make decisions. Using wisdom determines whether we make the best decision.
Widsom is the principal thing out of all our getting we need to get an understanding.

Righteous decisions are based on Godly wisdom.

Let continue to use the Path of wisdom - until we meet again soon.

Our Faith Is Challenged

(Thought:Where is Our Faith)

Can our faith stand the test, or do we succumb to the challenges we face?

Every day, it seems as though, our faith is tested in one area or another. Things that we held high and worthy seemed to be smaller in size when concerns, problems and devastation comes into our life, comparing them to the size of our problems.

God tells us, "if we have faith as the size as a mustard seed, which is small, and speak to the mountain and tell it to move over, it has to move. We have power in our live as Christians, power in our tongue - to call things that are not as though they were. Power to bless and to curse; because the power of life and death is in the christian's tongue.

As descendants of Adam, then the second Adam, Jesus Christ we have dominion over the earth and the fullnest thereof.  God called everything on the earth into existance for our enjoyment and pleasure.  This is why, we as Christians have the power to call everything we need in life into being;  according to His will. We must have the faith to go along with our power, believing that He will.

Acts 1:8

But ye shall recieve power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: ane ye shall be witness unto me both in jerusalem and in all Judae-a and in Sa-ma-ri-a, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

LET'S REMEMBER OUR FAITH MAY BE CHALLENGED, BUT WE HAVE THE POWER TO...

Every Time I Kneel In Prayer

( Poem -From The Minister's Heart)

Every time I kneel in prayer I have faith that the Lord will be there.
He says, "His ears are open to our cry, because of our sins I don't know why."

Sometimes I wonder why we go through so much, but I know all God has to
do, is give us His special touch.

When we pray and pray and don't hear from Him this is when I know His presence is near.
With His arms so tightly around me I am sure it is He.

I come to realize we can not handle the concerns in our day, if we do not learn
to lean on Him and pray.

At times I want to call out and ask where are you. This would be too foolish for even me to do.

At last! I have found rest and peace in knowing He is so dear.  He says, Listen my
child because I am near."

I find no fault or short comings when He call, to us, His grace and mercy is given to all.

-Every Time I Kneel In Prayer.

Living Wisely

Proverbs 3:1-4

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

*** It seems as thou God is speaking to a child, actually He is speaking to all His children, us. Telling us to keep his commandments in our heart as long as we live; days will be added to our life.  His mercy and truth will never leave or forsake us, if we will keep them at heart. We will have His favour and understanding.

***Sometimes it seems hard to accept God's wisdom and truth, and His commandments seems too hard for us to follow. This is because His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and His ways are higher than ours.

*** Every time we read His word we should be able to embrace His truth. Meditating on it give us His wisdom. As we continue to do both we will be learning, keeping and walking in His commandments.

"WE NEED GODLY WISDOM FOR OUR EVERY DAY LIVING."

Let's continue to live wisely for Him, as good and faithful stewards.

Until we meet again - soon.

An Inventory Of Our Life

(Thought)

Lets take an inventory of the things we have stored up in our life. Continuing to add to our stock or supplies so that our store house will never need to be replenished of these things:

LOVE - PEACE - UNDERSTANDING - LONGSUFFERING - TIME.

Now days it seems as though the more love we give to others the less love they give back

Sometimes it seems that the more we try to keep peace with others by keeping our mouths shut - the more confusion seems to break loose.

We love others so much that whatever they do we try to reason the situation out, linger with and forgive them - meanwhile they are causing more confusion.

The more we pray for patience and longsuffering - it seem as though others take us for granted. Mostly thinking we will always be there for them.

Many times when we show others we care by giving them our undivided attention, and giving them our time - in return we end up giving them most of the time in our life.

Do this sound like the way our children or a spoil person act or behave? Not really. Now days some people in general behave this way.

I John 4:7 says,

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Philippians 4:7 says,

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 4:7 says,

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thyy getting get understanding.

Ephesians 4:2 says,

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says,

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

If we have kept all these things in our store house then we will never be in need - because we are hooked up to the main source of our supplies, Jesus.

Silent Tears Of A Child

(From The Minister's Heart)

When children are born they are a bundle of joy.  They wake up early in the morning to let us know daybreak has come. They stay awake until late at night to let us know they had total control of our day. This time last only a few months then we change their daytime to fit ours.

Around the age of 1 they have already begun to speak, crawl and many times walk, touching or pulling down all things around them. At age 2 they know they want to destroy all the things in the house that we have purchased.

Around age 2,3 they may have learned their ABC's and their numbers. Sometimes this happens earlier for some than others.  For my grandchildren this happened earlier.

At pre-school age our children do not want to leave home and stay with other people and children who are strangers. Their tears are silent as they become troubled. This is normal, because when we, as adults, start a new job we have to adjust to it, a different atmosphere and new people also.

Children are protected from many things during the early stages of life, but once faced with different things other than the all day shelter of a parent, a change in life may seem to be a challenge to them:

1.  College

2. New Job

3. Marriage

Ecclesiastes 12:1

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw night, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

Proverbs 2:1-5

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice of understanding;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

In this day and time all children must be raised in admonition and knowledge of God; and when they are old they will not depart from it.  They will know how to make wise decisions based on the word of God, which is a lamp unto their feet, and a light unto their path, according to Psalm 119:105.

Tears are the release of the pain or joy we feel.  When a child is born his cry-tears- are hear over the house. When they become an adult they may hold their emotion within.  Whether our tears are painful or joyful only God know.

Lets remember to give our children to God when they are born, after all, they belong to Him anyway.  We are only stewards over His possessions- children.

Until we meet again - soon.

Caring For One Another

Ruth 4:1-3

Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.

And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here, and they sat down.

And he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, selleth a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's:

***Boaz loved Ruth, the Moabite, and wanted her to become his wife. He also cared for her mother in law, Naomi, his kinsman. The Jewish practice called for the nearest relative to be next to marry a woman whose husband had died. Boaz talked these matters over with the counsel of elders. After the matter was settled He purchased the land of Noami's late husband, and also purchased Ruth for his wife.

This story was not only written by inspired Christians of God; it is also true.  Many women in the world today are wondering if there is still a Boaz or a ... out there for them today.

During the old testament times there were seven women to a man.  There were more concubines than a King could hope for.  Know that what God has for you is for you woman of God.  He has molded and created your Boaz. All you have to do is wait on God's perfect timing. The love and care for one another will be there.

Until we meet again - soon.

He Has His Hands On Us

(Dialogue Question)

Where are your hands?

Isaiah 41:10-13

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.

Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

***God tells us not to be afraid or discouraged when working in His vineyard. Others will be against us but keep the faith, because He is with us and will strengthen us. He will also help us by lifting us up out of the situation by holding our right hand.

All the workers of iniquity  that raised up against us will be sorry they did; they will disappear as if they never existed. We will wonder what happened to our enemies. They too will perish as the dust in the mid-air.

***We that do the work of the Lord dwelleth in the secret place of the most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty- His blood. We have the anointing on us to do His work . If we don't feel His presence right now, just PUSH-praise until something happens. Thousands shall fall at our side, and then thousands at our right hand; but they shall not come nigh thee, according to Psalm 91.

WE KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT OUR OWN. HE BOUGHT US WITH A PRICE BY DYING ON THE CROSS.

Lets remember his mercies for us are new every morning, because He has His hands on us.

Until we meet again - soon.

Examine Both Sides Of A Matter

(From The Minister's Heart)

II Corinthians 13:1,2

This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witness shall every word be established.

I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:

*** Paul who was once a chief of sinners has been converted by God to become a chief of Christians and Christ's messenger. He is speaking to Christians in Corinth and Greece concerning their sins. Telling them if he come again he will not have mercy on them.

What do we do when  we are told that others in our life have committed a sinful act? Do we form an opinion of that person, judge them, or do we examine the whole matter- listen to both sides of the story?

The bible tells us not to judge because we will be judged with the same measure of judgement. If our brother or sister have committed a sin, many times, we have committed something worse, according to Matthew 7:1,2.

The strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, not please himself, but to help nurture the other in the admonition of the Lord.

Let brotherly love continue, if we find another in a fault let us draw him back to Christ through love and kindness.

Until we meet again - soon.

Community Help Is Needed

Ruth 2:8, 10

Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:

Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?

***Upon entering Bethlehem, Ruth showed a strong determination to provide for herself and her mother in law, Naomi, by going in the field to work. She worked in the field of Boaz, a rich man kinsman of Naomi's late husband.

After seeing Ruth, Boaz got information about her from his workers. Knowing she was a Moabite made no difference in showing favoritism and admiration towards her. He was impressed by her hard work, dedication, and her love for her mother in law.

***When we are in need God helps us - by showing mercy and grace at whatever stage of life we are in.  His mercy is new every morning, according to scriptures.

We should always show God our faithfulness and dedication to his word, and the work He has called us to do.  Upon entering into the mission He has placed before us, we should be determined to work hard for the Lord, and dedicated to His cause. He too will be impressed by a job well done.

God has no respect of a person; what He does for one He will do for the other.

When we are in need, sometimes we must depend on our community for help.

Until we meet again.

Ain't No Mountain High Enough

(Dialogue Question)

Is there any mountain in our life too high for us to climb?

Ain't no mountain high enough and ain't no valley low enough for us to get over or through.

There are going to be many events and situations in our life that are going to be challenging. Many times their occurrence are going to be mind boggling. They may seem so unbearable.  These things in life come to make us weak and distracted from our every day way of living; and many times detract us from our Biblical mission.

We must have a positive and faithful attitude by saying, "This too shall pass, trouble don't last always." A more positive reaction is when our mind is over the matter or circumstance we find our self in. We may not get over a lot of things, but with God's help we can get through them.

Sometimes it feels as though we have hit rock bottom: Sufficient funds are not coming into our home, we can't make ends meet. Not enough food is on the table, our bank account is low, the car need fixing, we and the children new clothes and shoes.

A remedy for this is:

Continue to stay in prayer, communicate with God on a regular basis. The scriptures say, "God knows what we need of before we ask. Always ask in faith so that we may receive of His grace.

But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, according to Deuteronomy 8:18.

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just, according to Proverb 13:22

Remember when Jesus died on the cross, we inherited all His riches in glory.  We must first seek the Kingdom of God and all his righteousness, and everything we need will be added unto us, and then some.

He will open up the windows of heaven and pour us out a blessing that we don't have room to receive.
We must prove Him by paying our tithes and offering.

Let's continue to remember that all of God's promises are yes and amen, according to II Corinthians 1:20

God can take us over any high mountain , or through any valley that is detouring us from the mission He has for us to accomplish.

Until we meet again - soon.
