Blessed To Be Happy

(From The Minister's Heart)


Jesus tells us, we are blessed when we endure many things, because God will deliver us out of them all.
Wel will be rewarded for our trials and the test of our faith.

Matthew 5:3-11


Blessed (happy) are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdon of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Bless are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:  for their's is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile-verbally abuse- you and persecute you, and shall say all mannor evil against you falsely, for my sake.


When we obey God's commandments and hold onto our faith, we and our children will be blessed going out and  blessed coming in, says the Lord.

Choosing An Acceptable Community

Ruth 1:8-9

And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the Lord deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.

The Lord grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband.  Then she kissed them; and thy lifted up their voice, and wept.


***After the death of Naomi's two sons, she told her two daughters in law to return to their mother's house. She spoke a blessing over them as she attempted to sent them home. Oprah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth held onto her.


Ruth 1:16,17

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

***Ruth was making a strong vow to Naomi saying, "Don't ask me to leave you again. Where you go, I will also go; and where you stay, I will stay; your people will be my people, and your God will be mine.
When you die and be buried, I will be buried there also. Death is the only thing that will seperate us.

This vow reminds me of a strong and dedicated marriage vowel. "Whatever spouses go through, for better or for worse, "I will be with you until death do us apart."


Jesus also said this in Hebrew 13:5b

I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.


Meeting the right people, in the right place- community; at the right time can be a blessing.

The Holy Spirit Is Held Hostage

(Dialogue Question:)

Have you ever held the Holy Spirit hostage?   Yes, I have held Him hostage.

A person held hostage is one taken from his normal surroundings and held captive against his free will; or perhaps held at gun point for the release of another or for money. Whatever the situation is, we are not free.

Many times after we arise in the mornings we began to go about the day cooking breakfast and burning the toast; running late getting the children or grandchildren up to dress and then off to school. If we work, then we began our day perhaps the same way, but before we go off to work, we find out we have left the car keys in the house and has locked the doors.

Lets look at our morning again:

When awakened each morning by God we should pray asking Him through His Holy Spirit to bless our day.  This releases the anointing and the blessings God has for us, our friends, love ones and others . The angels of God is commanded and  released to protect us in all directions that we travel throughout the day, from seen and unseen danger. The Holy Spirit is held captive when we don't pray the first thing in the morning for God's protection. Not praying allows Satan to control our lives and days in such a way that can destroy us in a matter of seconds; because he came to steal, kill and destroy.


PRAYING -COMMUNICATING - WITH GOD REGULARLY KEEPS A CONTINUOUS FLOW OF BLESSINGS ON US AND THOSE WE LOVE THROUGOUT THE DAY.


Philippians 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.


The Holy Spirit is here for us, to comfort, lead and direct us to all righteouness. Let's continue to release Him into our lives each day so that we can be blessed beyond our wildest dreams.

The Lord Is...

(From The Minister's Heart)


Psalm 23 says,

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

This is a very popular book in Psalm. The statement, "The Lord Is" says a whole lot in itself.  These verses are the fullness of His blessings upon us each day:

1. The Lord is my shepherd;

2. He maketh us: he leadeth us

3.  He restoreth our soul; he leadeth us

4.  He is with us, His rod and staff comforts us

5. His goodness and mercy shall follow us

All of this is done to prepare us to dwell in His house for ever.


Lets remember that a shepherd is one that always take care of His sheep. Whatever our needs are the good shepherd has supplied all of them out of His riches in glory through his son, Jesus Christ.

Preparation For Leadership

Judges 13:1,2,5

And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.

For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head; for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.


***Whenever the Israelites turned away from God, His punishment was to allow them to be defeated and ruled by their enemies for a period of time. This time He allowed the punishment to last longer, forty years.
During this time they suffered the consequences of their disobedience, even though, God was preparing  one to deliver them out of the hands of Philistines.

God used a barren woman who was looked down upon by society to give birth to a Nazarite son who would grow up and become a deliverer of the Israelites. During her time of pregnancy she could not eat any unclean thing. Only food suitable for her son, the nazarite.

***There are times in our live when we have sinned and turned from God. Our punishment may have not been as severe, but to us it seemed so.  All we have to remember is that there is no sin that God will not forgive other than blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.  We all have sinned and come short of His Glory


God says,

11 Chronicles 7: 14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.


Lets remember that, in our time of distress, God has prepared our Saviour, Jesus Christ,  to deliver us from all the strong holds in our life.

Moving In The Fast Lane

(Dialogue Thought: Moving Too Fast)

Cars come and cars go on the Expressway in the fast lane; swerving in and out of traffic. Darging other cars to avoid an accident or a traffic mishap.The person behind the wheel is in control, whether they are sober or under the influence. Never taking time to give other drivers the right of way; always wanting to be first.

Many times we go about our day; never taking the time to pray after we open our eyes. Giving God the opportunity to lead, direct and order our steps in His word. We wake up with our minds focused on what we need to accomplish on our busy schedule; not thinking about asking God what He would have us do.


Psalm 92:1-2

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.


It is very important for us to build a strong communication line with our heavenly father. Leaving the line open so that we can have an active prayer life. Praying in and out of season always thanking Him in advance for the things He has done, is doing, and is going to do in our life.

God knows our down sitting and He knows our uprising.  He knows when we are having  good days, and He knows when we are having bad days.

Lets pray to God so that He will lead us at the pace He wants us to go each day.

Lord, You Are Welcome In This Place

Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sub with him, and he with me.

***Many of us are not save today and we are going through problem after problem trying to fix them ourselves. We don't have anyone we can give them to; no one that we can cast our cares upon.

Because we were born in sin and shaped in iniquity, God knows our hearts. Sin separates our spirit from His. This is why after we are born again  He gives us His Holy Spirit to lead and guide us in every direction that we take in life.

If we would open up our heart and let Jesus come in He will give us joy for our strength; peace that passeth all understanding; longsuffering and temperance that endureth until the end; gentleness and meekness as little children; faith as of a mustard seed to move mountains; love and goodness in our heart, mind and soul.

He will create in us a clean heart as He did David, and renew the right spirit within us.  We must be born again. This does not mean entering into our mother's womb again, but being born again of water and of  His  Spirit. He told this to Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, who came to him in the night.


Jesus is here to seek and save those who are lost.  He will leave the ninety nine and go after His lost sheep.
He has also left under shepherds here to pastor the flock of God.  It is not good to let our life drift off in different directions and not give it to our saviour.

Jesus died on the cross and arouse again so that those of us who are not save have a second chance. There is no time like the present to open the door of our heart and let Jesus come in. He want to walk with us, talk with us, and do all the things we would have Him to do, because He is love.


Can we say right now, "Yes Lord, You are welcome in this place?"
